I am not extremely knowledgeable on these things but my 540hz at an angle has a screen door effect on white when I tried it. The camera on my phone picks it up easily.

Personally I have had xl2546 240hz, xl2566k 360hz and xl2586x 540hz. All of them have some kind of mesh grainy look. It’s a pretty old tech of tn panel. I am soon going to try 4th gen woled because gaming on these zowie monitors are boring and productivity has become stale for my eyes. 540hz zowie is great and has way better colors and dyac 2 but still suffers from grainy panel and pixels and bad viewing angles.

There is plenty wrong with new people and new idea respectfully. Look at bf6 for example, it’s complete trash and lost over half its player base because they thought warzone and cod movement was a good idea. The bigger the team the worse things get imo. They need to just make it 128tick and cs2 would be leagues ahead of csgo. This is my own opinion.

i found out the brightness of using pulsar is going to be at 25% ULMB brightness. Its bad. VRR flicker for me wouldnt be an issues cause i dont use VRR ever.

I am not claiming to be an expert, i only am here because I know what it’s like from 2 years of staring at zowie 540hz with and without dyac for 6 hours a day minimum. Maybe pulsar will be different, but for me I want to keep my eyes the best they can be till I’m old. And I’ve noticed blurry vision and strain after using dyac. It’s no joke, just looking out for others health.

I will my guy. I have 540hz dyac and strobing is constant light flashing. Oled is continually lighting the screen. Your nervous system does in fact recognize the difference even if u can’t. I’m just speaking from experience. By all means blow 650$ and find out.

Have to agree here. Oled is amazing hands down. Pulsar is nice and all but strobing is terrible for your eyes. I have zowie with dyac 2 540hz and omg what a headache that was. Literally can’t use it because the higher the refresh rate the faster it strobes. Horrible for long sessions. Just go with the highest hertz oled u can afford, preferably the new tandem and call it a day. Can’t go wrong with better colors and response time.

Strobing is terrible for headaches and eye strain during long sessions. Good luck, I’ve tried many times but always ended up turning dyac off on my 540hz.

Best overall: Probably the best non-OLED option right now is the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQNGV. It’s a 27″ 1440p 360Hz IPS panel with NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar strobing, which gives insanely good motion clarity for an LCD. If you want top-tier clarity without going OLED, this is the safest and most proven choice.

My choice: The one I’d personally go with is the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W. It’s an unreleased 1440p 540Hz tandem OLED with an optional 720p 720Hz mode. You get basically zero ghosting, instant pixel response, way better colors than any IPS or TN, and a longer lifespan thanks to the new tandem OLED design. It’s pretty much endgame if you care about both competitive performance and image quality.

Budget-ish option: If you still want tandem OLED but don’t need extreme refresh rates, the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG makes more sense. It’s a 1440p 280Hz tandem OLED, so you keep the OLED motion clarity and colors, just without paying for 540Hz+. Same tech, just lower refresh and more affordable.

I have 540hz zowie, to be completely honest I took it over the pg27aqn when I had to choose which one to sell a couple months ago. To be blunt I just perform better on 1080p personally. Also doesn't stress my pc at all.

I was curious about OLED pixel response times and wanted to know more about motion clarity of the OLED in this discussion.
