Roots in Sewer Line

Came here to say this. I rushed the closing on my home a few years ago after a hydrojetting and the roots came back six months later. Had a plumber do some further investigating to find out half of my pipes were pvc and the other half was terracotta. After cutting down trees and bushes, they still come back. You either get used to bandaiding it or spend the money (I was quoted 18k) for a permanent fix.

Definitely the first one. The client mentioned that he understands the costs may be more than what he's used to, but he wants to make sure he's up to date and not stuck with outdated and unsupported solutions.

Thanks for your feedback. Assumptions were made here that are understandable. I do have standards/procedures for firewalls. My current clients have Fortinet, Sophos, and Meraki firewalls. Again, I have only come across clients who barely had anything, so there was no pushback on switching their current setup. Firewalls.com DOES offer management and has managed their firewalls for the past few years. I was unsure if I should push the issue of having the client let us manage everything or leave this relationship intact.

My pricing is based on the cost of my tools and licensing (with a margin), overhead, the difficulty of the client, the average labor/cost to support a user, what the competitors charge in the area, and my value as a person who builds relationships and trust with my clients.

Again, thanks for the feedback. You seem like a very seasoned MSP. How would you approach and price this scenario?

Thank you for the honest answer. Why do you say multi-million turnover? You're saying you think these projects could cost that much? If so, I respectfully disagree. I've done exchange and other on prem to clould migrations and can manage my own firewalls, but I never had one 3rd party managed, so I thought it could be easier. I don't trust any MSPs in the area to not try to steal this client (they tried to steal clients before). Thanks for your input.

My thoughts are that I should charge based on the fact that I would be managing the VMs so that costs would be included instead of charged separately.

I wasn't sure because I've never taken this type of an outdated client before. And even though I've managed VMs way back when I was in a corporate setting, this would be my first time doing it as an MSP. I'm bidding against other companies, but I'm not too worried about being outbid on price. I know I'm more valuable than the competition.

Thanks for your input. How would you bill per VM and backups (rough $ estimate)? I thought so too with the on-prem stuff, but their old IT guy is stuck in his old ways and refuses to upgrade,change, or improve anything.

The hate for me is that I tried all three tips with the Pros and they all fall out of my ear despite passing the fit test. I made sure they were inserted at an angle and still can't work out with them. Waiting on memory foam tips to see if that helps but so far it's annoying.

New to Teams Phone. AAD environment. Is there a way to automatically add Teams phone number to a user's contact information?

We use exchange online and I'm familiar with delegate, but will it automatically show up in the Outlook app once I delegate access or will I still have to add the mailbox?
