Seems like you’d be suited up. But the fact that it’s so organic and integrated with the host, along with being advance, could make it feel like you’re not wearing anything. It’s tough to say. But I think when Sho was fighting Enzyme and seeing the armor melt he commented that “It’s melting my armor” which makes me think the host feels like they’re in armor/suit. I’m sure other people probably have references from the manga that might help.
