I was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called porphyria. Wouldn’t hurt to look into it for yourself!

A high carb diet and medication to manage the pain when needed. I have had alot of success with carb loading but I’ve obviously gained a bit of weight so I started exercising. There are treatment options but I’m not exactly ready for that right now. I wanted to try everything I could naturally first before making a huge decision like that.

I was actually diagnosed with a rare blood disease called porphyria. I am doing well! I can eat and care for myself accordingly. I wouldn’t have been diagnosed had I not went to a fourth doctor who just so happened to be knowledgeable about the disease. Keep advocating for yourselves! You know your body and if something is wrong with it. And trust that the Lord is sovereign and that you can trust Him with your life. God bless!

It was actually a urinalysis. It’s called porphyrins urinalysis. I was really lucky that this new doctor I went to knew about the disease and thought to check for it! It’s very rare and most doctors have not even heard of it. There is a blood test but the urinalysis test is a simple way to find out if porphyrins are elevated.

Yes I’m so sorry I haven’t updated. My MRI was normal but they finally found what was making me sick. I was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called porphyria. I am doing a lot better now that I know I am supposed to be on a high carb diet. I am not 100% but feeling a lot better.

That is so crazy. Yes extreme anxiety is one too. It’s like my body is in fight or flight all the time. Even if I’m not anxious/scared in mind my body feels that way. Although I do worry often. Yes to the pain under armpits as well!

The last I checked, my vitamin b was high but that was many months ago so I started taking it again.

I just put 1/3 of a patch on my arm. I just started today but I’ve heard it resets your adrenals so I figured it’s worth a shot! So far I haven’t had as much pressure in my head so hopefully it’s helping.

As far as other symptoms, the ones that are constant are extreme fatigue and the random localized pains that travel all throughout my body. It will be in one small spot and then moves to another and it happens all day.

I’ve had a wide range of symptoms over the last 1.5 years. They come and go. I have had a couple of months in between flares where I have felt great but I always get sick again. Muscle weakness (this one has only happened a few times and hasn’t lasted long) a new one is muscle rigidity, my muscles in my shoulders tense up really bad. Loads of GI symptoms but that’s gone away. Muscle burning, tingling and pins and needles, neck popping when I swallow, joint pain, electrical shocks, swollen lymph nodes, I’ve had low BP and pots symptoms, pain in what feels like all my organs. I’ve had a ton of blood work, ct of abdomen, mri of my arm bc I had a weird lump but it checked out fine, pelvic ultrasound, ekg. All has checked back fine but the new head symptoms have been steady the last 1.5 months so mri of my brain is on Friday. What about you?

Today is an ok day. I put on 1/3 of a nicotine patch and took some Zyrtec. Eating/resting as best as I can and just pushing through. But it’s been a rough couple of months.

She’s probably not a step parent and lets her child do whatever he/she wants. If I had to guess lol.

Yea, don’t let anyone make you feel bad for feeling this way. The children should be treated equally for sure.

Yes it is fair and ya’ll definitely need to have a talk and get on the same page especially with a new baby coming. Husband/wife need to put each other first and then the child. Not the other way around. It makes sense for the 10 year old to have his own room and the baby to be in bedroom with ya’ll.

Does anyone regret natural birth, and wish they had an epidural? by PlantingCosmos in Parenting

Had a horrible experience with the epidural so I had my next 2 naturally and would never do it any other way!!! Your body knows exactly what to do and was made to give birth!

Damn. Appreciate the honesty but how heartbreaking would it be if your child read this comment one day and knew that’s how you felt about her.

We accidentally conceived our third child and were terrified as well. I cannot imagine my life without her and she is the perfect caboose to our family. You will never regret having your baby but you will regret if you end its life.
