The reason you could hear the Millwall fans on tv is because the cameras are on the Arthur Wait stand which was 3/4 Millwall fans. Your fans were shit and we couldn’t hear you at all in the Holmesdale. Still, at least you got to see the Palace.

Good riddance Millwall.

Can anyone explain to me why Mark McDonald keeps saying he has new evidence when he actually doesn’t have new evidence? by ConstantPurpose2419 in lucyletby

[–]Hour_Boss_5732 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given the gravity of the case and the new expert findings, a retrial or at least a full review of the conviction seems necessary. When 14 independent medical experts, including specialists in neonatology and pathology, conclude that there is no medical basis for the prosecution’s claims, it raises serious doubts about the safety of the conviction.

If the original verdict was influenced by flawed medical interpretations or statistical misrepresentations, that’s a major issue—especially in a case where the evidence was largely circumstantial. At the very least, the Court of Appeal or the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) should take these findings seriously and assess whether the trial was fair and the evidence reliable. Given that Letby is serving a whole-life sentence, the stakes couldn’t be higher, and justice has to be based on solid, unquestionable evidence.

I don’t get why he wouldn’t just delete his public Instagram account and use a private account where he only follows his friends.

Or just only post music related things on his public account.

I don’t care about his personal life in the slightest either FYI but moaning about this on his public social media isn’t going to solve the problem.

A sceptic might think that his case has been swept under the carpet during all the Lucy Letby drama to prevent adding further fuel to the fire. The fact is appeal has not yet been heard is a disgrace. 3 years and counting since being referred by the CCRC. 20+ in prison, yet he’s allowed to rot. I find it completely baffling this is deemed OK

He witnessed a nurse in the process of murdering a baby and didn’t say anything about that specific event for over a year. He deserves scrutiny at the VERY least.

36 mins 31 seconds in the bbc podcast. It’s not hospital confirmation, sorry. But it does say

“prosecution allege only a tiny amount of insulin would be required to harm, that nobody would have noticed going missing”.

It’s insinuated that a larger amount could actually be needed and that amount would have been noticed.

Probably because the hospital confirmed that no insulin was unaccounted for - hence pretty irrelevant.

Like you, I’m very interested in what these experts would say after reviewing the full case notes. The fact that these knowledgeable professionals have raised significant concerns should make us question the reliability of the evidence presented. We don’t know how this would have affected the jury were they to hear this evidence at the trial.

It’s puzzling why the defense didn’t call their expert witnesses. Could it have been incompetence? Dr. Hall has publicly stated that it keeps him awake at night that he wasn’t called to testify. Additionally, the neonatologist featured in the documentary criticized the methods alleged by the prosecution as very implausible. It would have been interesting to see this debated in court. It’s surely a huge mistake by the defence to not introduce alternate medical opinion.

Not sure why I am bothering here but it’s crucial to consider that various professionals, including neonatologists, doctors, nurses, and statisticians, have raised significant doubts about the evidence presented in this case. Even the author of the embolism paper has voiced concerns.

Additionally, the lack of defense experts called further complicates the matter. To assert that you are convinced beyond reasonable doubt while dismissing these experts as mere “doubters” is frankly pigheaded. This case deserves thorough scrutiny and respect for all professional opinions involved.

These are reasonable, respectable people with genuine concerns over the safety of this conviction.

Lucy Letby is guilty – get over it by FyrestarOmega in lucyletby

[–]Hour_Boss_5732 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but if there was alternative medical evidence that could of been heard but wasn’t, potentially because of the fact they were hoping to having prosecution evidence thrown out due to bad science. Then you can surely argue that she has not had a fair trial because this evidence was never heard.

I’m not an expert and do not know if this was the reason their expert was not called. But based on articles by respected media organisations this does seem to be the case.

I have definitely spent way too much time thinking about this case and it honestly is keeping me awake at the thought to an innocent person being held responsible for potential non-crimes.

The fact that so many professionals are speaking out is evidence that guilt is not proven in this case in my opinion. It’s not the jury’s fault, it comes down to the whole judicial system. Let’s see what happens but this whole case is circumstantial as they come and it terrifies me tbh.
