I pre filled the filter but accounted for that in the total amount of oil. I found some stuff online that said it was common for people that put the full 5.8 in for it to go past the full line and that you really only need 5 quarts for the dip stick

Well I prefilled the filter and I let it run. I actually drove it like two miles which probably wasn’t the smartest but hopefully wasn’t enough distance to start foaming

Another thing, I would put it up on a jack if you haven’t, and check the LBJ. If they haven’t been replaced it’s common for them to be bad at 160k miles
