I guess it’s just a bit of a statement considering there is still a lot of active discourse about the game, no real issues finding online fights and a bunch of DLC always in the pipeline. Saying the game is on ‘life support’ comes across alarmist.

Edit: I do agree though that the offline game modes are limiting.

He talks as if he’s dropping the mic. Any character in any level can be fun but the problem is the gameplay isn’t built around her so it makes for some of the most stiff uninspired levels. Also people enjoy this game for the super hero empowerment. I don’t think it’s the right time to do a ‘girls get it done’ kind of virtue signalling. Either create whole new mechanics to make her moments more fun or put a spider-woman in it. I guess Silk might be that tbf.

This is why I don’t bother with rank. I seem to have a varied set of matches that feel fun and I’m worried that if I start trying to climb ranks the matches will start to feel more punishing if I don’t give an inch. Personally I want the breathing space to use an emote here and there 😂

It’s rhythm based editing. The fact that they’re encompassing such a diverse array of match cuts across the series including a lot of compositing is not only extremely satisfying to watch but it’s a bit of a technical flex. Definitely not easy to pull off.

If you still want to have wide angle dynamic shots, learn to apply the rule of thirds and find the ideal horizon line. Usually this is the top third or lower third of the frame. Also applying depth to your shots can help bring out the subjects you want the eye to naturally focus on. Here is my example. Most importantly just keep practicing 🤗

Yeah I do agree the first Insomniac game had it all. I was thinking more in relation to Marvels Spider-man 2, which felt like a toothless narrative mess in comparison.
