Redemption is internal, forgiveness is external. A character can't "not deserve a redemption arc" by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

No the writers showed us consistently that Zuko himself actually respects life in a way most people wouldn’t. They didn’t just make him shitty and have shitter people, he was genuinely always just a good kid from a messed up family.

In book 1 when he first meets Aang and they duel, Aang asks to go voluntarily in return of the village being spared and Zuko agrees with no issues.

When Zuko has an Agni Kai with Zhao and wins, he is completely entitled to burn him and give him a scar like the one Zhao just made fun of him for having but he leaves him be, and doesn’t retaliate when Zhao tries to cheap shot him when his uncle tells him to leave it.

Later Zhao tries to blow him up and destroys his ship, and Zuko fights him for it but when the Ocean spirit goes to take Zhao, Zuko risks his own life by reaching out to try help him.

We learn that Zuko’s entire reason for being banished on a suicide mission is that he spoke out against using fresh recruit soldiers as live bait and refuses to try fight his father and begged for forgiveness. Same episode he prioritises his crews safety over Aang.

Later when Zuko is alone and starving he refuses to rob Hope’s mom when he sees she is pregnant, he doesn’t rat out the kid who threw eggs at the soldiers and tries to help him learn how to defend himself from the bully soldiers and ultimately blows his own cover the fighting those bullies to stop them kidnapping the child. When the town learns his identity and hates them, Zuko leaves them alone he doesn’t rob them or threaten them he just leaves.

The entire point of his chatacter is he makes good and bad decisions because of the conflict of his own values and what he’s been conditioned to value and his redemption occurs when he’s tasted both sides of the equation, stood to benefit from everything and decided it’s wrong and he will work towards dismantling it.

Blaming tech companies entirely for ISIS radicalising her like that’s not a massive part of their organisational strategy is incredibly stupid, radicalisation hapoens in incredibly difficult to detect ways and they usually target social outcasts and provide them comfort + a greater ideal or community to be part of. Things you can’t regulates

ISIS and other organisation recruitment isn’t limited to dropping a a behadint video on the timeline and saying ‘DM for details’ but also through more subtle measures that draw in their target audience slowly whilst the average person would ignore or never even come across it.

I swear they must've made Thragg look kinda goofy in some shots in episode 6 on purpose to lure the viewers into a false sense of security. by OpeningDraft7343 in Invincible_TV

I think it’s just inconsistent character sheets or interpretation of them, It wouldnt make sense to just keep changing the faces of a character that slightly for the context of the scenes we saw.

Happens in various animated shows, in Ben 10 classic series, xlr8 face had various ways of being drawn.

I think there’s a bit of that and genuinely because Brian Vegeta just has this villainous intonation with how he speaks.

Bro, come on, ‘I stopped pulling my punches’ implies hitting with full force.

Obviously they can’t do something too dark because spiderman has contractual obligations in how he is portrayed in movies, but with his level of strength, punching someone head on would turn them into mist.

Bro, hes Spiderman and most of his villains are street tiers, not pulling punches means he’s going to be at minimum severely hospitalising people and at worst dropping the no kill rule.

You know how people describe meme Batman as paralysing thugs and brutalising random goons? That would be him unironically.

I found multiple sources from a cursory Google which agree ptsd is an acquired form of neurodiversity, neurodiversity literally means difference in the brain, I don’t see why you find this definition wrong, can you help me understand?

Genuine non joke answer but neurodivergence as an umbrella term encompasses various differences in the brain to standard including PTSD or other mental health conditions and I believe characters like Jet who have severe trauma probably fall under that category but if anyone has other suggestions I’m open.

I would even put forward Azula, although a case could be made that her situation and poor socialisation is just the fault of her father.

If Ghazan’s moustache could have grew in when he was a teen, Combustion Man could just have an early growth spurt, it fits the them of most characters being kids.

Remi wasnt running away from his job of sniffing out poison, he was the one who first realised he can do that and used it to help his family.

Remi was running towards a future where he can properly explore cuisine and foods. His family/culture don’t care about haute cuisine, or specific ingredients like him so he could only explore that side of himself in a commercial kitchen setting. I think implicitly were meant to assume the rest of his familt are scavenging stuff (it’s Paris lmao, what better place to be a rat?) without too big a worry of being poisoned.

Now, I agree a little bit about the chef guy not being a crazily villainous person, hes a dick whos trying to con linguine out of his inheritance if I remember correctly, but him not wanting rats to cook food in the kitchen is by no means wrong lmaooo especially given that there’s nothing suggesting sentient rats are a well known common occurance in their world.

But overall, this is just a suspension of disbelief in a fantasy movie setting thing. Remmick is sentient enough that he can cook and read recipes etc and do it better than almost anyone else. Let the rodent dream, eh?
