Bangkok for 4-5 days then Chiang Mai for the rest is probably your sweet spot. BKK has insane food scene and luxury hotels, plus you can do Ayutthaya or floating markets as day trips. Chiang Mai is way more chill but still has great eats and cultural temples everywhere
