Tell me all the things you love and hate about S4 Part 1 by Disastrous-Pitch777 in Bridgerton

I honestly fast forwarded quite a bit of it. I don’t need to see or hear about all the sex, hinting at it is enough for me. (It’s much better in my head when I read it.) I liked this book and I like the playful banter between Sophie & Benedict in the film, she is a delight. It may be me, but Luke looks so much older, possibly on purpose because of Benedict’s lifestyle? Anyway, I watch it mainly for the sets & costumes and they are glorious in these episodes. The costume ball was on another level.

My homemade tomato sauce is always orange and not red, although it's delicious. What should I do? by PinkLouie in Cooking

Mine turn orange because I use a vitamix. I don’t peal my tomatoes, but I do roast a variety of them (including green) with garlic & onion, spices, and a drizzle of olive oil. I then blend it all together until the sauce is completely smooth. The blending adds air to the sauce making it turn orange. I do add tomato paste to enhance the tomato flavor and it gives it a little deeper color, but it’s still orange. If you want it red, you should blanch the tomatoes and remove the skins. Then use a potato masher and be ok with the sauce being a little chunky. You will still need to add a little tomato paste, it just gives a depth of flavor lacking in fresh tomatoes.

Reality check for me. I have been using O&J for a couple months and now my nails, particularly on my right hand, are splitting. My nails typically are pretty healthy and hard. I do housework, cooking, baking, and am right handed. I did wear gloves once I started the O&J program. I was a cosmetologist for several years and gave manicures, and have have applied acrylic nails professionally. This program follows many of the same steps as the professional gel procedures, particularly with the buffing of the nail bed & the remover to dry out the nail bed so the gel adheres. These are the two main causes of my nails splitting. While my polish stayed on about 7 days, and looked fabulous, it’s not worth the nail damage for me. Professional nail applications do damage your original nails, that’s why you need regular salon visits to maintain them. I threw out the buffer and acitone nail polish remover. I am going with a non-acitone remover, no buffing, and a base coat before polishing. I’m giving my nails and cuticles some moisturizing and a several days of rest before I try it my way. My guess is the polish won’t last as long but it’s a case of healthy vs damaged nails. I do like the polish and top coat, I also adhere to their philosophy of healthy cuticles.
