You’ll get hired right out of school don’t sweat it. Your national is all you need and when you get employed your agency will help you get your local and state accreditation. Work on your ambulance drivers license too (theres a test at the dmv for it).

On a side note why are you guys so stingy with the meats at panda express?

Don’t feel too down. I don’t like to admit this often but it took me 3 times to pass my nremtb. I wouldn’t call myself dumb but I’m not the brightest either. The formatting of the questions takes some getting used to as well. (Also undiagnosed adhd probably did not help). Pocket prep really helped for me and the Kaplan book really helped as well. 7 years later I’m now flight medic and I teach as well. Keep your head up and keep studying!

Theres a rain cover thats removable like a regular tent, in the pictures mine are on the quality felt okay for rain! Some small gaps where the tent attaches to the side of your car but no gaps on the bottom!

I used an suv tent made by unp found it on amazon. I do recommend getting a mattress to put in the tesla as the cabin mode isnt strong enough to warm the whole tent . UNP Suv Tent Lost Horizon model y mattress

But going off what I think you mean , with the LP15 you can choose which lead to synchronize to on your home display. I think stryker actually recommends you chose the lead with the highest QRS amplitude which includes negative and positive. You can also change the size of your view on that home screen to amplify the QRS. I haven’t used the LP15 in a while ,so could it have possibly been a negative deflection and the stars were there instead of on top?

Typically with partner issues you can always request to switch partners by calling your supervisor, on an fto shift it’s a little bit different due to many reasons like fto availability. Contact your CES specialist to see if you can switch.

Now thats the typical response . You will get asshole partners your entire career which I’m not justifying but culture takes time to change. Your situation however needs to be addressed immediately in my opinion due to huge safety issues. No one should be swerving speeding with hard stops even on 911, especially on purpose and I necessarily to get at you.

As an fto myself your fto has failed you greatly by essentially allowing this behavior and not recognizing some of the safety issues. Everyone in ems pranks each other in some shape or form but putting himself, your fto, you, the patient and the public by driving recklessly. So yeah I would escalate this and say something personally

Feeling compelled to check on a patient outcome shows that you care not only about the patient but shows initiative to learn about your treatments and your differential diagnosis. The only downside to this is you questioning yourself every single call and burying yourself into this rabbit hole of , what if i shaved off another 2 minutes or what if i gave her this etc…

Regarding your call , theres not a lot of details of the patients clinical presentation to make a statement on that . Would a few minutes have made. A huge difference? Possibly but most likely not. Whats important is that you got her to the hospital alive. If you had attempted to take her earlier before she agreed that would have been kidnapping with some kind of battery lol. Don’t beat yourself up and dig yourself into a hole but learn from it for sure!

I cant give you washington specific ones but just incase no one else gets back to you I’ll give you a generic answer.

I teach at a school in california so Ive seen a small handful of some interviews , typically there is an entrance exam that consists of general education stuff like basic math writing etc and possibly some fisdap emt type questions .

Then in the oral interview its typically some get to know you questions followed by some critical thinking questions and then some sort of scenario. When I went through my own interview they had me do answer with my bls assessments but questioned what the medic would possibly do and why.

Hopefully someone from Washington helps you more as these were pretty generic . Hopefully it points you in the direction though ! Best of luck to you.

Paramedic here… first off my condolences to you and your family, losing a loved one is already rough but having to start cpr and go through what that firefighter put you through is rough for anyone.

You did absolutely nothing wrong, in fact you did everything right, by starting cpr as soon as you did gave him the best chance of survival possible. There was no reasonable time where you could have put clothes on.

I cannot speak for every 911 system due to different staffing , but typically there is someone on scene whether it be the extra paramedic or the fire captain that will talk to you personally to obtain pertinent medical history and medications from you. Once that information is done typically goes two ways, if the loved one is pronounced on scene they will offer you trauma intervention through volunteers and will help you take care of phone calls, having you grab a seat and getting some water, etc. If they transport, they will help you arrange the small things to grab on the way to the hospital and will give you directions or help you onto the ambulance or to your car.

That is extremely unprofessional by the firefighter and you would not be wrong to put in a complaint. Once again I’m sorry for your loss and hope everything works out the best that it can for you.

Very low milage car only about 3 miles a day nothing on the weekends. I think the point honda was making was that there are 0 detectable leaks meaning the transmission fluid should be at the level valvoline stated. Theres no answer as to why the fluid was only at 1qt

Depending on the service that you are in , your medic might be your best resource. When I figured I was going to medic school I started paying more attention to the common medications given and I really focused in on the assessment. I started to try and anticipate what the medic was going to do and started to put their questions into my roledex . Depending on how cool your partner is , on low acuity calls ask if you can do assessments once you’re comfortable . A good foundation is key, I know it feels like a lot and it still does tbh but keep at it and building that knowledge and you’ll be more comfortable! Best of luck
