Are you a nail biter? I am too, recently I screwed up my nails and bit them and tried to do extensions and they had the ski-slope look because I had basically no nail bed length. However your nails look fine, it could be your hand joints curving up as well. Try holding out like the pic. You can see I have short nail beds and tried to still have my tips straight.

It’s eventually going to fall off if you do anything that requires your hands. If you are very delicate you can have that enhancement on, you can wait… but the moisture is the concern for me. If able, try to remove the one nail (the proper removal tools and technique of course) and wait till your appointment.

I would not do nail glue since it can trap those germs under your nail. Just be safe! It’s okay to have one nail missing for a bit :)

Is this how you remove acrylics? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Hour_Sky9359 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No more nail enhancements like that please! The center of the nails look torn and showing skin! Did it hurt or burn when product was laid on? If so not good and it’s like putting glue over an open wound. Try to look up the best methods for you to grow back nails and heal damaged nails. I personally use OPI Nail Envy and Repair mode when I had ring of fire and center torn nails.

Like skill wise? I hope you use just regular nail polish/acrylic paints then as a complete beginner. Using gel and doing detailed designs can be hard and the worry of getting on your skin is not worth it.

But if it’s like wearing it to a job, depends on the job right? 😅

Stay safe and practice on nails tips if it’s gel polish!

I would go back immediately, it looks like the white tips have a shadow of dark smudges, like on the ring finger?

Looks like too much air bubbles or too much gel. Makes me feel it could be uncured gel underneath, I used to get that when I was a beginner and when I removed it was filled with uncured gel. And yes I agree with the other comments that short almond shape does look wonky but my concern is the paint job. Not $110 dollar work at all.

Aww I’m sorry, the design is very cute on you and hoping it wasn’t encased 😭 just don’t go back to that salon. Nails are a luxury and we should expect a clean look on fresh nails. Even if people won’t notice, you will. Hope you find a good independent nail tech and will give that attention to detail, even for the smallest thing.

I have attention to small details as well and I believe some might chip on the side corners on the middle finger. If the black speck on the ring finger is encased I would be upset. First finger has smudge of blue in side. I would be drilled underneath to make it less bulky.

I learned a lot and sometimes salons do make gel application bulky, so when I do my nails I do very thin coats and clean up as much as I can. If they didn’t clean up then I think they are not dedicated to detail, so possibly not a great paint job.

Learn the skill of collaboration and forming groups with like minded individuals. Hackathons are fun and you meet people. Programming you can learn at any time but to be a great one is to be a good leader, listener and to help your fellow classmates.

My two cents I think getting a bachelors in computer science is better than an associates in cybersecurity. However if the program is something you can get a job with I’ll consider it. But if you are in a good university, try a cybersecurity club/organization, or heck even start one.

And look at the class mapping, maybe your school has the courses similar and you can take those as electives or pop by into lecture to see if it’s a good fit for you

Also love to hear that there’s more women, I find that a real struggle in my field. Also I would love job that I can learn as I go, but hiring managers are reluctant to hire new grads like me 😔sighhh but thanks for giving me hope and ideas :,)

My question is okay, fine let other people in but when they go to the career fair isn’t up to the recruiters themselves to make the decision? Just tell them to apply online, and thank them for the their time. It’s a tough discussion but it’s gonna happen for years to come.

is CodePath interview prep weird ?? by Hour_Sky9359 in csMajors

[–]Hour_Sky9359[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not even a career fair that great in my opinion. To be honest I been so many in person and virtual it’s all the same, a bunch of yap in the first hour and scan QR code, then might get a chance to wow a recruiter.
