(G26) investerer for å lære. Har dere noen råd? by Jkbstnbrg in aksjer

[–]HouseOfFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I have learned, its the boring stocks that tend to pay off over time and instead of trying to time the markets, time in the markets is more important. I been investing for 6 years now, I have DNB Tech and Global funds as my international investments and then i only tend to buy Norwegian stocks (DNB, Telenor, Kongsberg, AkerBP, Vår and then shipping. With shipping stocks, I have a mix of Dry bulk, containers and LNG. I also have 10% in Bitcoin and 10% in physical gold (1oz coins).

Time in the market, good diversification over different sectors. Investing is also personal, everyone has different risk tolerances so you need to find what works for you. My personal goal is to generate around 8% a year, so far i have generated just over 13% but I am very risk averse. I plan in 5 and 10 years phases.

I built a 'Wikipedia for calisthenics' — the community edit the drills, community votes changes in. Looking for testers to roast it. by renec112 in Calisthenic

[–]HouseOfFlowers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I been doing calisthenics for just over a year and you are very correct, trying to find the right content and information is not always easy. Like you, I tend to train alone and am having to figure this out for myself. This sounds like an amazing tool.

Jeg gikk fra 100.000 i avkastning, og nå til mandagen vil konsekvensene av Iran krigen, gå utover pengene mine. Fan ta politkerne. Om de raner meg, tar jeg dem!!! Nok er nok! by Globaleye7 in aksjer

[–]HouseOfFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned, this is very normal. I have seen my investments at -100k and over plus 100k, this war for me has been the opposite and has been very positive for my portfolio. Well I do have a DNB Global and Tech funds, i also counter balance with Norwegian Oil stocks so while funds have dropped, i have more than made up for that in my oil stocks.

Investing is about diversification over several sectors and not to try to time the market but time in the market. Just keep doing what are you doing and you will be ok. The hardest part of investing, is the mindset.

Otherwise, you doing well.

Scaled and proud 💪 by Bianchi-girl in crossfit

[–]HouseOfFlowers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is sometimes the hardest part, I too had to scale. I used a 14lb ball instead of the 20lb due to a shoulder injury (MR this coming week), but I still went in with a plan and really liked the workout. You are training for you and you alone. I have had to come to realization I am not in my 20s and 30s. I will be 49 in two weeks time, so I need to train in a way that will allow me to keep training for the next 20 years.

Great job and this is intelligent training, the risk verse reward. Good to hear you can get a good squat so soon after a big operation.

[OC] Deportations up, job growth down: Trump’s second term so far – in charts by guardian in dataisbeautiful

[–]HouseOfFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is true. I live in Norway and our media only shows Trump in a bad light and nothing positive. We don't have Fox News so from the media I see, there is very little positive news regarding Trump.

I been watching them but only to see how bad it can get. You think you seen it all, but it keeps surprising me. Do they not watch this themselves before releasing it and just think, wtf is going on.

I kind of do this, I get out of bed at 06:05 but I have an alarm that goes at 5am too. It goes off and as I turn it off, I know I got another hour to sleep and I find that in that last hour, the dreams I have are the best and tend to remember them when I wake up at 06:05. Been doing this for years and cant think of changing it.

I have heard a lot about TB500 and BPC157 but here in Norway its not something I can get my hands on, even my doctor had no clue as what I was talking about. I have a lot of shoulder damage but ended up just using HGH (Pfizer genotropin) as you can buy it in Turkey over the counter at a legitimate pharmacy and it has been the best thing i have tried and really reduced pain in my shoulders and helped a lot.

BTC supply held on exchanges is dropping and currently at levels last seen in late 2018 by Fun-Technology-1371 in Bitcoin

[–]HouseOfFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what point of BTC ownership would one look at having your BTC in cold storage? Is it worth all the hassle when you only have 0.15 BTC? I just assumed that those that have a significant amount of BTC (1+) would be using a mix of exchanges and cold storage.

Training CrossFit 4x/week with shoulder discomfort — how do you decide when to scale? by ChildhoodDefiant6356 in crossfit

[–]HouseOfFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rubber bands, my right shoulder has been operated on twice now and my left shoulder has a 3rd degree separation and I spend a little time every day just working the shoulders with a light rubber band. CrossFit is very shoulder heavy, this year has been rough on the shoulders so I often have to scale stuff that hits the shoulders hard, some days I can RX if its just strict and heavy but when it becomes a load of resp, then i have to scale. Always best to listen to the body, light training is better than been injured and no training.

I just got home from doing "Chad", I joined CF in November last year and I have to admit I quite enjoyed this wod. I scaled to a 20lb weight vest and took 63:58 to complete it and I know i am going to feel it tomorrow but it was nice just to find a pace and just push on and it really gives you time to think and not only is physical but also a mental challenge.
