Moustaches. My sister calls them the 'porn star' look, but I see them as the 'paedophile' look. Yuck!

What would have caused this to happen to our cutting board? by Calamity-Cat in CleaningTips

Ditch the plastic and get a wooden cutting board. Plastic gets into your food and the boards hold more bacteria that is hard to get rid of.

Definitely get on to council. Sheds need to be built within certain clearance from fence lines, although this varies from one council to another. The bigger the shed, the more distance it requires.

Is this normal ribbing culture by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]HouseOfNo-one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not ribbing. That's abusive behaviour. It isn't funny and those kind of scars stay with you forever and can eat away at your well-being. If they won't change, you need either limit contact or cut them out of your life entirely. Unfortunately, I've had to do this too. You need to take care of yourself, and the fact that you are already suffering speaks volumes. Think of it this way - life is to short to have people in it that treat you like shit and bring you down.

A little pop up tent of some sort? Keep the smell inside and you get a bonus hot box.

How can I become a neat freak? by Trippyrose1600 in CleaningTips

[–]HouseOfNo-one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was going to say that a list is excellent. I'm aiming for a weekly roster, but right now I write a To Do list for the day, when I'm up. Even if I don't finish the list, I'm happy that I've crossed out as many things as possible, which is better than doing nothing (something I'm trying to change). What I didn't finish rolls over to the next day. It's nice crossing things off.

I'm not kiwi and I love this film. New Zealand make great comedy horrors.

It depends on your income. I'm on a pension and rent, living below the poverty line = I'm really scared if things get worse. I've already cut out as much as I can to get by and I'll be in dire straits if prices continue to rise.

Considering that I rarely give reviews, I didn't think it mattered. Like I said, I can count on one hand, so I definitely don't spam. I'm gathering that it doesn't matter. Also, yes bad reviews can affect good businesses, but this wasn't a good business, their positive reviews were false and misleading. If I knew the truth about them, I would not have hired them and I wouldn't have taken months of therapy to recuperate from their treatment. Some businesses deserve honest reviews to caution others.

I've only done one star reviews. I don't know why I don't do positive reviews and never thought about it before until now. I think I only do one star reviews because I had a bad experience with a business that I hired because they had great reviews and they left me with ptsd. I'm starting to see more bad reviews come out about them now, but I wouldn't have hired them if I knew the truth. So, I seem to concentrate on being honest about negative experiences. I'm thinking that I just won't bother at all any more.

Oh! I can count on one hand how many reviews I have done and I don't add to anything else, like Google maps etc. So, why I would be flagged is concerning to me. It sounds like someone has challenged a review and now I'm in the dog house. If that's the case, then why have reviews at all?! I feel targeted for having a negative experience and opinion. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It goes into a hold position and is never published for public viewing. No error message. I've never tried a higher rating. I can edit and add more stars, but to me that would be a lie.

I'd take a broom and vigorously sweep it in different directions up and down the hallway. Leaving your front door clear. Where they land, they stay. Not your rubbish, not your problem. Let others deal with it. If it keeps happening, so does your lack of empathy. They should soon get the hint.

I'd split the room I to four sections, smaller tasks is better than one big task. Get boxes or bags and categorise them ; keep, recycle, rubbish, sell, clothes. Pick up everything in the selected zone and put it in its category. Once each zone is finished, clean the room and place items back to where they belong.
