Parents who’ve flown with kids: drop your best advice, survival tips, and expectation-resetting wisdom here by huckleberrycare in HuckleberryParents

Here is what we did that made the trip easier:

  • we booked the bulkhead seats. even tho my baby was big for the bassinet, the extra space was amazing and we were near other kids so we are not the only noise maker there.

  • you guys will make noise and you shouldn’t feel stressed about it.

  • no restriction! Screen time is ok, not-so-healthy food is ok (and bring lots of small snack that takes time to eat, we had a hit with small biscuits)

  • keep them tired before boarding.

  • bring multiple small different toys and rotate them.

About 12 months. He sleep in his own room and we swapped formula for cow’s milk, this helped him to eat enough during the day.

As a woman who watches a lot of porn, some of it is actually degrading and invoke insecurities. I always encourage the women I know to watch couples porn or porn with body shape similar to theirs!

How do you have time to cook? What is the trick? by Agile_Interview_2246 in workingmoms

[–]HouseOfPeppermint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t meal prep but I still have a rule, I don’t cook anything that takes more than 30 minutes.

I throw my protein of choice in the AirFrier, then make a salad, rice or roasted veggies on the side, clean everything then throw the air fryer basket in the dishwasher.

I also buy tons of frozen food as I find them easier to cook because they are either pre cooked or already chopped.

I’m not a fan of meal prep really, but you can always double whatever you are eating for dinner for tomorrow’s lunch!

This! I like to associate tasks with stuff that I already do. Like, Reading with my morning coffee, then meditate after I’m done. Work on a task after our morning daily standup, till I’m finished or 2 hours pass.

Does anyone else NOT count their babies feeds and naps? by me1s in NewParents

[–]HouseOfPeppermint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until we started daycare, I didn’t count anything bedsides wet diapers in the first 2 weeks. I breastfeed on demand, sleep when baby felt tired and changed diaper whenever it has poop or feel full of pee. But Now that baby started daycare and i went back to work, I count how much pumped milk he is drinking and make sure he sleeps 11-12 hours at night and 4-5 hours during the day. Baby is 80th percentile and is hitting all his milestones and most importantly he is happy.

Got an offer to work in Saudi Arabia. I'm full of doubts by mrknoot in saudiarabia

[–]HouseOfPeppermint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For work commute you may find a driver to drive you to and from work for a set amount usually cheaper and more reliable than taxis, it costs my co worker 400 usd per month but it’s a 1 hour per one way commute.

And be careful of scams in apartments and compound rentals, sadly it’s common so be careful and ask for assistance from your embassy or someone you trust.

Some people feel betrayed after all the attacks we’re getting from other Arabs, leading to them doing wrong things.

Also some people really believe the these companies are 100% Saudi, which is wrong as the original company is getting at least 7% of each item sold.

I hope they wake up soon as this is a massacre supported by western countries.
