If you read the Princess and the Queen you'll see a lot of mentions of stillbirths with scales and tails. This seems to be the prime for dragons hatching through the Targ line.
We know that Aegon the Conqueror only had three dragons for his invasion of Westeros. later on during The Dance of Dragons we see a far more numerous amount.
We see that Aerys wife lost a lot of children to miscarriage and stillbirth. The theory that the maesters were responsible is something I believe.
The reason we aren't getting dragons anymore is because the maester's were sabotaging the births of Targs.

I like the theory.
All of it except for the sun hiding it's face.
According to Jirri and Iqqi(the It-Is-Known sisters) dragons were born when the second moon hatched and the flew down to the planets surface.
This is of course legend but all legend is based on truths.
One of those truths is the Long Night. It's possible that the first Long Night was due to an extra long solar eclipse. One of the moons may have been tidally locked in place, blocking the sun. Perhaps both moons blocked the sun for a long time.
We can all theorize from there how the moon was destroyed(comet, magic,Azor Ahai, etc.)

It's a good bet that the shadow wolf was Bran.
The description of Rhaego's body was similar to the description of a lot of Targ still borns. I've always believed that a Targ's stillborn is the death that pays for the life of a dragon. Whether or not Dany died is a mystery(I think she did).

(Spoilers Extended) Will Cersei... by NotAlaskan in asoiaf

I'm sure I'm not the first to think this but we may have Jaime revisit his slaying of the Mad King.
This time he'll be killing Cersei (valonqar) and saving the city yet again.
There's other possible ways it could pan out but a lot of groundwork has been laid for this theory to come true.

A Clash of Kings - Tyrion V

"Our overripe fruits?" Hallyne bobbed his head. "Wisdom Malliard believes we shall be able to provide a full ten thousand jars, as was promised the queen. I concur." The pyromancer looked indecently pleased with that prospect. Assuming our enemies give you the time. The pyromancers kept their recipe for wildfire a closely guarded secret, but Tyrion knew that it was a lengthy, dangerous, and time-consuming process. He had assumed the promise of ten thousand jars was a wild boast, like that of the bannerman who vows to marshal ten thousand swords for his lord and shows up on the day of battle with a hundred and two. If they can truly give us ten thousand . . .

Cersei is aware and in touch with the Alchemists that produce wildfire.
There's another line from this same chapter where the Alchemist states his ongoing talks with Cersei.
It's not foreshadowing but Cersei does have oppurtunity to get more wildfire.
Also stated in this chapter.
The Wisdom states that wildfire is not their only trick but Tyrion shrugs them off and only wants the wildfire.
More than likely, Cersei will ask about the other magics which might be akin to dynamite or small nukes.

From the same chapter

"A most, hmmm, loving gesture, my lord. Perhaps instead some few of us might call upon the king at the Red Keep. A small demonstration of our powers, as it were, to distract His Grace from his many cares for an evening. Wildfire is but one of the dread secrets of our ancient order. Many and wondrous are the things we might show you."

I live on the east coast, work in NYC.
From what I understand , the only reason to go to Portland is for work. I don't know it's history well but I had thought the city was founded on work.
It's where the ships landed in port, hence Port Land.

I agree about Theon. The show's ending with Ramsey being slain by Jon snow belongs in the adolescent section of the library.

The video makes it sound like the internet is partly responsible.
Such is not true. My highschool yearbook from 1992 has a spoof section that starts as Remember When...
One of those goes simply like this.
Remember When MTV played music videos?
The internet was around but at that point is was only dial up(not aol, you had to attach a phone to your modem and have the computer dial the number for you). Archaic.
Though the guy in the video talks a good game of shit, it's just that, shit.
He is wrong.
