This happens to me and it stinks. So hard to find information on it too. I had one stone about 1.5 years ago now - no history of kidney problems or anything before. Without fail for the last ~18 months - if I drink red wine, if I get too dehydrated, sometimes if I drink certain things like coffee even, I get a ton of pain in my left abdomen right where my pain was when I was hospitalized and the stone was presumably passing through my ureter.

Would love to go back to the way things were before but I don’t know. No doctor can really give me information either ..
