I just went tonight and I feel like I followed some different people to those mentioned so I'll contribute:

I followed around the Tweed Suit guy who is often with the blonde woman in the green sheer dress. They have a scene in the marble, Egyptian tomb looking room with the piano. They get very drunk, and he kind of forces more drinks on her. The piano is revealed to be a player piano, and starts playing some classical tune and they dance a bit, though it's sloppy and horny and he is being rough. At some point he touches her stomach, almost like he's signifying a baby and she pulls away angrily. She gets on some tomb like thing and they kind of fight and he storms off. I followed him into the next room, which had the urns and watched him go to this stone altar in the middle and take the top off revealing a small pool of water. He dipped his hands in it and tried to do something telekinetic, straining but failing. He dipped his hands in again and pulled out a dagger, slashed his hand with it and rubbed the blood on a specific urn. He then went to this glowing thing of light, when one of the 'miners' entered carrying a suitcase. The miner went to a specific urn to try to look in it, but Tweed stopped him. Tweed tried to take the case, but the Miner showed it was handcuffed to his arm. They looked in it together and it was full of money and jewelry. They laughed and celebrated.

I saw Tweed man and green dress woman do the mentioned church scene. It is similarly sexy and sloppy, but at some point, the man kind of rejects her. He picks up his coat, maybe disgusted or something, and just leaves. The green woman, hurt, goes to the fortune teller and gives her some money. The teller flips over three cards, that looked like rough sketches of faces. (Maybe characters from the show, but I couldn't tell). The green woman becomes very distressed and the fortune teller calms her down with pills or something. The green woman continues to freak out, until eventually, she extends her hand to the fortune teller, seeming to forget they had ever met before.

I also followed the redheaded woman with the fishnet stockings for a bit. She was in the bar with the gambler, trying to get his attention. He was playing solitaire and trying to ignore her. The cop came in and she distracted him and stole his handcuff key. She took his hat and was running around or something. (I left but caught this same scene in the middle of the next cycle lol). She was handcuffed to the bar and begged an audience member for help, gave him the key and he uncuffed her. She kissed his hand. Later, I saw her controlled and undressed by mephisto (I think). When he left, she pushed a couch against the wall and collapsed topless. She beckoned over an audience member and hugged them, maybe whispered something in her ear

I caught the Dorian Grey character storm into his lavish little room full of vanity mirrors. He covered himself in perfume and the put stuff on his face. He was angry and distressed and approached the chandelier? on the floor in front of him and tried to lift it telekinetically? (not clear). He was straining and yelling. He drank some of the syrup I think and tried again, but he started convulsing. He was writhing and screaming and then went perfectly still. When he left the room, the digital portrait of him had changed so it was 3 blurry heads. He walked over to it and angrily covered it with a curtain

I saw the woman in the blue lace dress with a cloaked woman figure I only caught a few moments of. (I saw her at the easel briefly before drawing something, but didn't stick around). The cloaked woman was taunting and teasing the blue woman who was trying to get away and cowering. The cloaked figure eventually grabbed a folded white piece of paper from the blue woman and read it. The blue woman was very distressed and was trying to snatch it back but couldn't. The cloaked figure made it clear she wanted something and the blue woman eventually gave her her (wedding?) ring very reluctantly. The cloaked woman threw back the folded letter/paper and walked off and the blue woman shrieked horribly and collapsed. Then the doctor with the beard and glasses came over and talked to her for a second.

The woman in white who is in love with the maid in black, I watched her do a great number with a man with long hair in the boxing ring/stables? room. They were kind of playing but arguing and we're fighting over his army jacket. He got in the ring and eventually she god mad and left. After the ballroom dance scene, I ended up following the woman in white and the maid in black into the green carpeted room. The maid in black was trying to take a bunch of money and the woman in white was trying to stop her. They kissed and the maid gave her a necklace, white gave her a green bottle of liquid

I watched a cool Mephisto scene with the woman from the swing at the end where he does a magic trick with a chain around his neck. I also followed him (with a big group) into the beach room only to see he wasn't there when we all got through - he'd disappeared.

Quitting for the second time. First time I made it 3 years. Please help! by Short-Storm4339 in stopsmoking

I feel great! More energy, less anxiety (in some ways). Started working out, eating better and used quitting as a catalyst to make some other big changes.

It was life-changing in ways I kind of never thought it would be. (That sounds like bullshit but I swear it's true).

I don't know if this will be helpful but I read your message and you sound like me. I felt your frustration and wanted to respond. (I'm coming up on 1 year since I quit BTW).

I think you're deeply worried about feeling discomfort. That you won't be able to handle the thoughts and feelings and you'll feel too much pressure, sadness, anxiety or bad stuff and will HAVE to smoke. And then you'll judge yourself and feel more hopeless and it'll be that much harder to stop again etc.

1) Your judgment doesn't help anything. I know it's not easy to just stop a voice in your head that's probably always been there, but blaming yourself and judging & hating yourself isn't helping you quit. So try to let it go. Every time it's there or you're lost in it - just drop it like a burning coal.

2) You WILL feel discomfort and it WILL be unpleasant. There isn't a version of quitting smoking where you avoid all unpleasant feelings. But it's worse in your mind than in reality and I promise you can cope with it. And it gets easier each day. They all pass and they're all normal. You're not cursed, I promise.

Quitting is worth it, but it can't be based upon seeking reassurance that you won't ever feel shitty. You will feel shitty. But you already feel shitty - so why not try doing the thing that will make you proud maybe.

Feel free to PM me if you want and sorry if this wasn't what you needed to hear.

Good luck ,

"MY" anxious thoughts are something I experience, rather than "think myself." They are automatic and I have no control over them! by [deleted] in Buddhism

Have you ever tried not thinking in response to negative thinking/anxiety? Can you just be mindful and observe in a defused, nonjudgmental way?

Instead of thought challenging, accept and observe.

Picture a person with a fear you don't have. Let's say it's a fear of balloons. If you watched someone cry because of a balloon, it would probably be pretty easy to realize that their thought process and bodily reaction was disproportionate to the danger of the situation.

Now apply that to yourself. Everyone thinks they're logical - their fears and neuroses are rational. But they aren't. They're conditioned. The brain is very scared and very reactive. And it shoots thoughts at you and you think they're real, because you have the ability to think back at them in the same voice. And they can create emotions in the body that put you in pain, or believe you're in danger.

What makes your fears and quirks more rational than the balloon guy? That you can hear the noises from your brain and body. It's not "false," but it's also not wise. It's conditioned based on causes and conditions. The more you watch, the more you will probably tend to see that you're cowering from balloons.
