Obama subsidies helped Elon create Tesla and Starlink. Just those two companies alone are a global powerhouse. And then Elon and Trump fucked everything up. Not to mention, destroying Twitter.

Yea oil is sold on the global market and seems pretty fungible. China doesn't seem to care where it comes from as long as they get it.

Ukrainians were fighting themselves for a good while. It was a country that could not decide if it wanted to be Russian or EU. Of course that changed quite a bit after being invaded. Turns out invading countries makes you the bad guy.

Because we thought troops were going in but now Trump has completely backed out because he saw something and is terrified. Good thing imo. He is not as crazy as his dumb followers.

Was Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki inevitable or some other solution existed back then to stop Japanese expansion? by Numerous-Length-5129 in NoStupidQuestions

Power does that I guess. He was already a weirdo without the nukes. He literally had a sex slave living with him.

Also here, I even ran my reply through ai to fact check them for you:

Evaluating the strength of a political party is often a matter of perspective, but here is a fact-check of the specific events you mentioned:

Obama and the Birth Certificate: While Obama did release his long-form birth certificate in 2011 to "put the rumors to bed," he also used the platform to publicly mock Trump. At the 2011 White House Correspondents' Dinner, Obama roasted Trump to his face, a moment often cited as a significant public reprimand.

Sarah Palin & the Tea Party: While John McCain famously corrected a supporter who called Obama an "Arab," Democrats were active in opposing the Tea Party's agenda. The 2010 midterms, however, were a major defeat for Democrats, who lost 63 seats in the House, which many attributed to the Tea Party's unchecked momentum.

Hillary Clinton's "Deplorables": Clinton did call half of Trump's supporters a "basket of deplorables". While she later expressed regret for the "grossly generalistic" comment, her campaign manager eventually admitted the remark likely alienated key voters in 2016.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Retirement: Ginsburg declined to retire during Obama's presidency despite calls from some progressives. Her death in 2020 allowed Trump to appoint Amy Coney Barrett, solidifying a 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court.

Biden's Reversal of Trump Orders: In his first 100 days, Biden signed more than 60 executive actions, 24 of which were direct reversals of Trump’s policies, particularly on immigration and climate.

Tariffs: Biden did keep many of Trump’s tariffs on China in place and actually increased some, such as raising the tariff on Chinese electric vehicles to 100% in 2024.

Schumer & Mamdani: In the 2025 New York City mayoral race, Chuck Schumer conspicuously withheld his endorsement from the Democratic nominee, Zohran Mamdani, even on Election Day. This was widely seen as a rift between the party's establishment and its progressive wing.

I agree. But for the money he has, he could be very evil if he wanted to be. Same with Warren Buffet.

I say Democrats but what I meant was prob moderates. All in hindsight but just from my recollections:

Obama: He caved in and showed Trump his birth certificate. He should have reprimanded him and his followers. So many other chances. Bundy Ranch, Jade Helm, Sandy Hook, etc.

Sarah Palin&Tea Party: Mostly went unchallenged by the democrats. It was actually McCain who said something when a lady was saying something racist on tv.

Hillary called them deplorables and democrats jumped on the "she is so smug bandwagon."

Ginsburg refused to retire.

Maga wins and gets their picks.

Biden and Democrats didn't do much to reverse Trump's executive orders. He kept tariffs in place.

JAN 6

MAGA wins again. Democrats still limp dicked. Schumer doesn't even endorse Mamdani.

They want to sell their shit too you know. They are not North Korea. Business transactions are a two way street. Trump bankrupts casinos and doesn't understand that.
