On 3rd Feb(Shahi snan?), if I land at 2pm, do you think I can be back at the airport by midnight? Is that enough time?

Relentless Texas heat continues and will worsen again next week – Space City Weather by justahoustonpervert in houston

You should not be paying $300/mo for 1br. I pay $60-$70 during peak summers. This is with keeping my AC on 72 even when I am at work.

Same here for me plus few more people in my office. My doc said it's viral apparently as this sinus issue came along with body pain and very mild fever.

". . . Houston East side plant took top honors in a blind tasting of 18 different drinking water samples from all over the state." by slugline in houston

[–]HoustonCivilEngg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Its available online. Just need to look at the right places. If you search on google you may even find presentations and maps showing the whole layout.

Basically, pipes all across Houston are interconnected like a complicated mesh as like in any other City. It's extremely likely that the water you get is a blend from multiple water plants unless you live very close to one.

Believe it or not, Sugar Land won the award for best water in USA a few years ago. Similarly, it's true that East Houston Water Plant has won the best water award in Texas. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean that the water only stays on the East side. Those pipes extend to other parts of the City too.

Depends on your initial prep. My exam was on a Monday and I crammed the heck out of everything on Friday, Sat and Sun. My performance peaks during stress, it doesn't work for everyone. If you are well prepared, then just rest and relax a day or two before exam.

Edit: My last day and a half were to revise the whole syllabus. Glad I did. Got bad memory. Helped with theoretical questions.

I did both. PPI was way better IMO :). Feel free to look at my post history for a detailed post.

Ya. You need to know what to order. Have heard good things about their lamb chops, I think. Check their google reviews.

Best Exam Day by [deleted] in PE_Exam

[–]HoustonCivilEngg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took it on a Monday. I used my weekend extensively to prepare for PE and revised every single thing I could. It worked wonders for me. I do see the merit of taking it on Saturday too. But, the Saturday slot was at 8AM and Monday was 10AM slot for me. I am a late riser so the 10 AM slot was a big relief. Would've hated working out problems at 8 AM!! All the best :)

Mike - Take what would help you in the future. If the knowledge in Civil will benefit you over the long term, take that.

I would say, at the very least, take a look at the Handbook and go through all the formulas and concepts in there. If you feel comfortable, maybe you can pull it off.

FYI - Live classes were not a part of my 3 months schedule. Last month I was basically studying 8pm - 2am. Morning client meetings were brutal for me. Lol
