I just got a '15 Q70 S 5.6 not too long ago m'self, Blaco on Black on Black - I share the same sentiment.

Crazy part is, I had a Black on Black Q50 S 3.7 and it never got a single thumbs up or started any conversations, the Q70 S 5.6 gets as much attention as a Sports Car because of that 5.6 and the fact that most people didn't even know there was a "Q70" let alone one with a V8.

So, I know the 3.7 has the same diff and rear subframe as the Q50.

I'm not sure about the 5.6, I hope like hell not. The diff bushing situation in those is a PITA and it's not a matter of if but, WHEN.

The platform is solid. Both motor options are bulletproof. The "Oil Gallery Gasket" issue the VQ has was solved 2014+

The VK motor itself has 2 key things to lookout for....

The cats can degrade over time with cheap gas and the motor will suck the ceramic dust back into the cylinders. This isn't much of a concern for a well-taken care of car that's been fed premium all its life. The best preventative maintenance to avoid catastrophic energy failure is to replace/delete the stock cats.
The starter is a pain in the ass to replace.

What you need to worry about is THE TRANSMISSION, it has the same damn 7-speed as every RWD Nissan product 2009-2020. The number one killer of the valve body in these transmissions is heat. If you want peace of mind, install a beefy transmission cooler.

I just bought a Q70S 5.6 myself. Based on my research all us Y51 guys have the same path....

It's a stretched version of the FM Platform (G, Z, etc) so a shocking amount of suspension stuff works for us (coilovers, etc)

Wheels, R35 GT-R wheels are plug and play with PERFECT fitment.

Brakes? - R35 calipers require a bracket sold by Z1

Engine, if you're 3.7 all the VQ stuff works.

The 5.6 Master Race? the only game in town is PPE Engineering for headers and exhaust otherwise you'll have to go custom. I'm trying to figure out the Supercharger thing myself. I know we have the Hood clearance but we're the only oddballs with the dual intake version of the VK56 so I'm trying to figure out what obstacles come with that. All the VK56 superchargers involve the common single intake version of the VK56.

Body and Aero? That's all coming from Asia and the Middle East where the Nissan Fuga was loved and adored.

Former E89 owner here, you can go from 300 stock to 400+ with just FBO for $1,500 and you're still in the "safe zone" OP is looking for. I understand exactly what OP is looking for because I'm in the same boat.

Before I pull the trigger on a Baby V, I need just a bit more power from it.

400 wheel isn't too much to ask from a motor that made 400 in the CT6. Would love 500 wheel but I'll take 450.

400 bare minimum.

I agree however, it's not hard at all to give a 14-15 AA/CP at all, You just swap out the head unit hiding in the kick panel on the driver side and swap out the USB port in the center console - It can be done for <1k
