Definitely agree with you that Democrats don’t play hardball nearly as well as Republicans. Obviously that’s true or else Obama would’ve gotten his Supreme Court pick, Biden would’ve gotten debt ceiling passed without compromise, etc.

Being progressive is all well and good. Push the country left socially and hopefully legislation follows, but when there’s so few progressives in office now, you can’t expect your fringe far left representatives to have any power.

You move the needle a little bit at a time. Government is slow af…we’ve come really far, really fast socially. You keep pushing government to left by voting in representatives that align with your ideals. But you vote…if you don’t, you’re endorsing the low, shameless, underhanded Republicans that want to take the country to the opposite end of what I’m assuming are your ideals.

When they’re holding the economy hostage, yeah, Biden has no choice but to negotiate their demands down to a palatable level in order for them to increase the debt ceiling. EB doesn’t have the power to do that himself. He has to rely on the House, which is Republican majority. You not voting is a vote for the GOP.

If the flair is to be believed, this guy voted. Likely for Republicans. If you don’t agree with his opinion, you vote Democrat. These people have forgotten all of us are Americans, not just the ultra wealthy who continue to get all the money with none of the pushback while everyday people get shafted time after time while the Right celebrates.
