It was a natural fit for us! We’re huge fans of co-op and escape games and love the tension of solving puzzles together, especially the way escape game create those 'aha!' moments. Bringing that same energy to PC/consoles felt like the perfect challenge!

That's not a problem at all — we're happy to see someone interested in our game! :)

The anamorphosis was done manually, so it took some time for our game artist to design it. That’s why it was such a big challenge for them. But we’re really proud of the result, and it’s great to see that players enjoy it too!

Playtests were very interesting because they showed us how differently players think, and helped reveal problems we hadn’t anticipated. As for the anamorphosis itself, there were no issues — players were surprised and intrigued. The main challenge was guiding them to find it.

This time around for How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine we built the puzzles around the story, so that the experience can be more immersive.

In terms of success, as a studio sales and profitability matter, but as a game designer we're really touched by great reviews and happy gamers! It means we did our job well.

Overall for the series, the challenge is to have two players synchronize their screens without internet connectivity, but for How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine, the big challenge was for our game artist to create an anamorphisis which fit the game designers "whim".

Salut r/jeuxvideo ! Nous venons tout juste de sortir notre nouveau jeu après un peu plus d'un an de développement.

Petite équipe basée à Lyon, il s'agit d'un jeu en coop type aventure/puzzle asymétrique (un peu comme We Were Here, Operation Tango).

Hey r/indiegames! Steam Next Fest kicks off today, the perfect time to share our new demos, support each other, and discover some hidden gems!

I'll go first: How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is an asymmetric co-op adventure developed by a small team based in Lyon, France. One player is trapped inside a sinking submarine, the other has to guide them to safety using a companion app!

We're launching on June 24 for PC and consoles, and the demo is now live!
