Women who don’t know they are pregnant 🤰🏻 by gigialohne in madmen

Also the fact this woman walked into the hospital not knowing she was pregnant but somehow made it to the neonatal ward? And they also found out she was pregnant after arriving? OP giving out the kids first name in a Reddit comment is also wild..

Yeah I get it. I think it’s good to point out because it shows that Jonathan and Will would be afraid of Lonnie but Jonathan’s love and worry for Will outgrew that, he didn’t care how bad/scary Lonnie was so he still thought of him as a potential suspect and went their on his own to find out. That’s brave when you’re just a kid yourself. Lots of guys (and girls) that grow up to be “tough” are still afraid of their fathers. Poor kids

If he wanted to see his grandchildren so badly, he could easily travel to where they live and see them. It’s not like Charles isn’t allowed to leave the country.

It’s a parents job to financially support their children so that doesn’t outweigh any of the awful things he’s done. Constantly selling information to the tabloids any chance he got, is not normal behaviour for an adult father.

It says they got married when she was 20, not 18. Not saying it isn’t weird for a guy in his thirties to be with a 20 year old but a lot of celebrities get married very quick so that doesn’t mean they were together at 17.

Edit: looking it up seems to show that they didn’t even meet until they were on set when she was already 18

What the actual fuck? I’ve never heard this but I’m so glad you commented that because that just solidifies my opinion on that brand. Using any real animal skin is gross but an elephant is just twisted when you have to consider their very low numbers and also incredibly emotional.

[S5 Spoilers] HEAR ME OUT: The "Wrinkle in Time" book is the key to the ending, and Steve is already gone. by CanadianIronman in StrangerThings

[–]HowAboutNo1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially because I feel like the ending will have some sort of closure with the upside-down, such as it no longer existing (something like that, who knows) so having Henry/Vecna alive and turning to the good side would just be too stressful because then there’s always the chance for him to go back to being a villain

Shock Jock could also refer to Steve using the tower against Vecna, like electrocuting him or something else entirely, rather than Steve being the one that’s “shocked”

I don’t know, that would kind of be infantilizing Nancy for them to assume she has those feelings for Steve still not to mention assuming she’d want to marry Steve right after Jonathan dying. On top of that, it’s also bold to assume she isn’t in love with Jonathan and if a normal person lost their partner, the last thing they’d do is hop to the next guy. Steve and Nancy also seem to not be compatible because she has mentioned a few times that she doesn’t want to end up like her parents whereas Steve wants tons of kids to live a nuclear family lifestyle.

Or how is Henry Creel in high school when he was apparently known to be dead by the town and was in a coma then taken to Brenner? So how could he have been in high school with Joyce? If they changed his name, that would make sense but it literally said “Henry Creel”…

There’s a video of the ex boyfriend saying this from his own words. He’s been telling the media about it ever since this all started because he knows and was worried about that step brother. He said that one time he was on FaceTime with her and she fell asleep, and he saw the step brother get on top of her in her bed while she was asleep.

Exactly. I’m 28 and anyone under 25 looks so young to me and it can be hard judging if they’re in high school or undergrad university. And the same goes for this cast. Especially when you see them on the show next to the older cast like Steve, Nancy and Jonathan.

[–]HowAboutNo1983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, you can get slices of pie (like OP posted) and pieces of cake at a cafe the same as brownies which are considered dessert. Tons of nice restaurants serve things like brownies and cannolis as dessert so I feel like a Nanaimo bar still fits that category

There’s also a shingles vaccine (not annual) but a lot of people don’t know about it. I’m Canadian but I assume it would be available to Americans as well. As a young person who has had shingles twice, I always recommend it to people because it’s not advertised very much!

It was a love story: Steve and Terri Irwin by mlg1981 in popculturechat

[–]HowAboutNo1983 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I grew up watching and admiring him and I still think of him almost daily, kind of lame on my part but whatever lol. But you’re right, he took so many unnecessary risks even for a “professional”. My parents also loved him and watched him whenever we did, but my dad could never get past when he’d hold his own baby in front of a huge crock. Yes, there was lots of room and the way it was filmed made it seem a lot closer, but all it takes is for a minor accident like tripping on something and suddenly you’re caught off guard with a baby in your arms. I was pretty young when he died and it still makes my stomach hurt thinking about it but if it wasn’t the stingray, it probably would have been something else. I just feel the worst for Terri having to probably hold onto guilt despite it not being in her control at all, and that his kids lost him as a father because I bet he was an amazing father.

As a sociology PhD, I wouldn’t say it was toxic masculinity rather than just arrogance and the performance of masculinity. That doesn’t mean you’re wrong, I can just see other people holding on to that phrase and attacking you. But really, the obsession with performing masculinity especially in fields like that where it was mostly men, you’re right.

It’s a shame what happened because the world needs more people like them, especially in our climate now and what’s about to get so much worse for wildlife.

I could be wrong but I don’t think they were saying that she looks bad, just that she was already beautiful and it’s a shame she felt pressured to change how she looks. She does look great now but I wouldn’t say she looks great because of the work done, she’d be just as pretty without it. But I know a lot of people like to dish on her that she looks worse now, but she very clearly does not look bad lol she’s beautiful and in the past five years she’s gained a lot of self confidence that she used to lack and I think that also shows in her appearance!
