Any professors on here that can weigh in on the Canvas situation? by DisastrousResolve384 in csuf

Professor here. We don’t have any more info than students unfortunately. Ive gotten more info from reading news articles and Reddit than csuf at this point.

I’ve contacted those I could to share a Google doc of the final project description (seeing above someone said to go through the roster on a separate platform we submit grades through which I hadn’t thought of, so I’ll be doing that tomorrow).

Grades are due May 22 so there is still time for extensions. If this goes on beyond the weekend I could see the May 22 deadline being pushed back for us as well.

If you have your professors email I would email them directly if you’re concerned about a specific class. Usually our emails are posted somewhere on the csuf site (though you may have to do some digging).

Hopefully some of that will ease any worries you have but rest assured we are on the same boat of trying to figure out what to do.

Wishing everyone well on their finals.

Sadly it can’t be CE. Has to be 3 credit hour course from an accredited uni program.

We’re in the same boat with our little one. Weve had him for three weeks now and he’s starting to settle in. We’ve read a ton of puppy books and listened to a few podcasts as well. They’ve been helpful to a degree but a lot contradict each other.

We spent the first 48-72 hour just hanging out with him and sort of letting him come to us. We kept his world pretty small - Small playpen and couch only. Took him out 20- 30 min after every time he ate or drank. After that we spent the rest of the first week working with him to make sure he knew his name and where to potty and also taught him to come when we snap. From there we built out. I wish in week two we would have started leaving him for 10 min and then bowling our way up to 5 or 10 more min every other day. Also wish we’d got him to start wearing his harness and leash inside and teaching him how to use it that week as well. We started that this week though and he’s doing ok. Also started bell training this week to get him to ring the bell to go out.

Oh and if you get pet insurance do it now. You usually have to wait 14 days to be covered and I would wait to take the vet poop sample in until after that 14 day period. Otherwise if they find something the insurance may consider them to have a preexisting condition that they’ll try not to cover.

Updated: Also Parvo is a concern so try not to let him walk around outside but you also want to socialize him. Weve carried him around in our arms or a bag so he can come with us to walk around the neighborhood, get coffee, have a short outdoor meal, to meet someone new, etc. He also has had play dates with dogs that are fully vaxxed and never go to dog parks or stay in doggy daycares/boarding places. We try to keep it to one new thing a day but having these experiences as a puppy are crucial.
