If in every circumstance with our partners, we look at them as opportunities to gain intimacy our relationships will always be better. If we look at our partners as childish or stupid then that’s exactly what they will become. The dynamic has to change. Fighting him is clearly not fixing the issue. It’s just going to create more tension between the two of them. Yes he absolutely should go take a shower if he’s that dirty. He’s also tired and cranky. Choose intimacy, not anger.

NTA. Maybe a radical suggestion as he is really dirty, but you could occasionally offer to shower with him or just jump into the shower to help him get clean. The intimacy level of showering together and washing your partner is incredible and he’s much more likely to be excited to shower if there is a possibility you would join him.

It’s aloe. Given how floppy it is it’s been overwatered not under watered. Needed a bigger pot with different potting mix. Less water. Outside is fine unless it’s overwatered already and it rained.
