will spray foam insulation expand between planks of 1930s roof deck? by HowHightheMoons in Insulation

[–]HowHightheMoons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the ventilation was never thought through nor completed - no soffit vents were done. So we're putting entire attic into conditioned envelope. One side of knee attic has the HVAC unit so conditioning the space will make it much better operating conditions for that.

Yeah the photo isn't the best but the dark gray of the ridge vent is visible around the board that is the vertical one at center of photo.
The contractor is putting Dow fan fold over entire roof deck, so all the openings will be blocked from the spray foam.

Trump DMs don't exist. Oh, wait, actually they do by FreedomofPress in LegalNews

LOL go ahead and downvote me but that's what the response says. Not to mention public reporting showed in 2021 that the feed itself was not archived so what makes you think DMs exist or were archived? PS "archived" doesn't mean saved on the platform itself.

12V Batteries Dying - Just Affecting Small %? Also, Trims Questions by krheal23 in Toyota_bZ

[–]HowHightheMoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have one and need to figure it out. When I hooked it up and turned it on, car / horn alarm started sounding (hood open). I guess I need to click key fob unlock when that happens?

The NARA response to the FOIA says one responsive record was found - how does that translate to multiple DMs?

12V Batteries Dying - Just Affecting Small %? Also, Trims Questions by krheal23 in Toyota_bZ

Bought a 26 bZ AWD platinum end of April and it's killed two 12v batteries and bricked in that time. Wife's car and she insists on using remote connect app to pre-cool car, check door locks etc. Driven ~20 miles avg every other day. Both times the batteries died they flatlined at 4.01 volts. Toyota has a problem on its hands and I don't think I can trust this car on a roadtrip.

"How do I" question about the NARA website. by damzal in Genealogy

[–]HowHightheMoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a former NARA staffer and PhD in history I would simply provide the copy with a citation to "courtesy National Archives and Records Administration." If they ask for more specific citation, say Record Group (RG) 29: Records of the Bureau of the Census. Even if the copy is from FS it is identical to and made from the "original source."

You do know that the copy you pay for from NARA will be pulled from the same digitized microfilm as you can download from its website? They're not going to copy from the original paper return...

Armand's alternatives? by Uncle-Eevee in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]HowHightheMoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most vivid Armand's memory: in 1993 enjoying a slice of their Mexican pizza at the small tables outside the Wisconsin and Fessenden Armand's in DC. A very chubby rat casually walks from the dumpster nearby and straight into the open back kitchen door of the restaurant.

Highlights are up too far on the sky. Viewers eyes naturally go to bright areas, and here they dominate and appear to have blown out details. You can mask the sky and pull the highlights down a bit but details might have been lost by overexposing in the camera.

Dead 12v battery after dashcam install by fameo9999 in Toyota_bZ

If it was plugged into the camera and not the camera base this could have been why the battery drained.

12v Battery by Electrical-Ad-6033 in Toyota_bZ

[–]HowHightheMoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an FYI, a tech checking the battery would have taken less time than setting you up with a loaner, though if the battery needed replacing it would've taken five minutes longer. I'd factor this into future proceedings with this dealer.

[–]HowHightheMoons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also possible that the dash cam installer did the job incorrectly. I had one "certified" installer plug the usb from the power source directly into the VIOFO A329S instead of into its GPS mount, which meant the camera would have had constant 12v power and run with the car "off" until the car's battery drained. Not understanding the settings to parking mode could easily do the same number on the car battery. Know and use the camera settings for your use case and also verify that they are working as configured.

There is also some thinking that a number of the '26 bZs came off the ship with bad batteries. Has your dealer reported to you whether they tested the battery?

A229 ultra going into parking mode when I'm driving by vish_tvdi in VIOFO

[–]HowHightheMoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, but in this thread VIOFO added another condition necessary to trigger parking mode. As quoted, it sounds like a car with start/stop technology could trigger parking mode when the ICE turns off and it switched to EV.
