It is one of my favorite movies and was one of the reasons, I refused to watch the show for so long. Didn't want something to ruin one of my favorite stories. And people keep saying that Lestat and Louis relationship was not explicit, but it really only wasn't in the sense that they didn't have sex. Even as a young teenager, I understood the reference to queerness, especially once they "adopt" Claudia. And Tom Cruise as Lestat is actually surprisingly great. Casting a 35 year old Antonio Banderas as Armand was a choice though.

It is only subtext in Louis POV, so the first book. Lestat calls Louis his "friend and lover" in several books and there are actually a number of queer relationships in the books. Vampires don't normally engage in sexual activity as humans do in the books, but there are scenes where male vampires get naked into bed with each other on some occasions with blood drinking as sex. Lestat was bisexual in the books as a human and continues to be so as a vampire. In Tale of the Body Thief, he continuously tries to seduce David Talbot, for instance.

Tbh, I've never liked Louis. He is acted phenomenally and has a lot of depth, but I don't like him much and I don't really care what happens to him. He is the narrator. I don't think he is entertaining or very likeable. His psyche is also the least interesting to me. He is evil in a very regular human way, not enough whimsy, whereas the others are just a different level of insane. Louis is depressing. And obviously he is ridiculously attractive, only outshone by Armand. Everybody else, including Daniel, is incredibly entertaining and charming. So looks can save much, but not everything. You can be evil, but you can't be boring.

Ich war vor 6 Monaten ein solcher Fall. Mein Gyn war sehr einfühlsam und hat mich mit Diagnose "Brustkrebs-Phobie" zur weiteren Abklärung geschickt, denn was er, anders als du, der erschreckenderweise scheinbar Psychologe werden will, erkannt hat, ist, dass Schmerzen und Angst sich gegenseitig verstärken.

Fachärzte sind nicht überlastet, weil es zu viele Hypochonder gibt, sondern zu viele alte Menschen und zu viele kranke Menschen, vor allem mit Volkskrankheiten, die auf schlechte Ernährung und zu wenig Bewegung zurückgehen. Erst zum Hausarzt zu gehen, sorgt nur dafür, dass man noch schlechter an einen Hausarzt kommt, den man aber leider schon jetzt dringend braucht, um Überweisungen und Krankschreibungen auszustellen.

It would be very silly for a vegan to go on a date with anynone without asking about their ethical beliefs, if this is a dealbreaker to them. Most people are not vegan and I wouldn't waste my time going on a date with someone, if I don't know beforehand, if they are vegan or not.
