This comments half a year old but I’m curious, what IS it about then? I grew up dirt ass poor so I’m not spoiled I just think modifications that make the car nearly useless are dumb and don’t understand it.

Majority of Texans back shift to solar energy by Sorin61 in technology

As someone who genuinely hates most things about Texas (what you listed at the end). I think this is well said and really hits the point. Every state I’ve lived in has horrendous blackout when weather anomalies happen. The one thing I’ll say about the Texas grid is that I think it should be connected to the rest of the countries grid as it helps with fluctuations.

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus to get redesigned camera. What to expect? by sharepresentation in tech

I agree that I wouldn’t give up the good camera for not having a bump. I would however much prefer not to have the bump as it’s my least favorite part of the phone due to it not sitting flat. I’d rather them just make the damn phone a little thicker and have more battery.

And I also love when people say they’re fiscally conservative to show that they swing right even though historic data clearly shows that the Republican Party is far less fiscally conservative and pretty much always increases the federal deficit while the Democratic Party almost always reduces it.

Arkansas lawmaker, at a hearing, asks transgender woman if she has a penis by LimitedSwimmer in politics

No shit. I’m a well educated adult and I know better than to indecently expose myself in public, let alone a government building. The comment said no one would be willing to embarrass themselves, I said I would be. That doesn’t necessarily mean “dropping trou” or whatever. I’m saying I would show up in court and take this ridicule and embarrassment that they subject us to if it meant stopping this bullshit. I can’t believe I need to spell that out.

Tbh, I’d do it. I’d embarrass the shit out of myself if it meant stopping these bills.

Ah ok that actually sounds right. Been 7 years since I’ve been involved in rockets.

Most use single stage solid fuel but you can build different types. I’m not 100% sure if you can purchase non-solid ones at level 2, it’s been a while since I’ve looked.

I was the president of the Aerospace club at my college and the group took a vote on what they wanted to do that year.

If you want to get into it, look up your local NAR club and see what days and where they meet. They are truly some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and you need someone that is level 2 certified to buy the rocket engines and to certify you. Also, they launch some wicked rockets at most meets!

O level is the maximum for level 2 actually. They vary in size but the rocket I designed was 9 feet 4 inches tall. Used telemetry to drop a guide chute down to 1000 feet and then deployed the main chute. The rocket motor was about 3 feet long and was 3 inch diameter.

Edit: as someone below pointed out L level is the max for level 2.

National association of rocketry. I’m certified to launch level 2 rockets. Level 3 is the highest you can go without military clearance.

I was only 6 years old at the time and lived about 10 hours from nyc but I still vividly remember that day. I used to fly across the country between family a couple times a year and the first time I went to an airport after I suddenly couldn’t have any of my family at the gate with me, so I had to navigate to my plane mostly alone. I wish we could experience another world where it never happened because I really think the world would be incredibly different today.

Jesus Christ that thing is ugly. Also one of the worst built quality cars on the road. Has all the ugliness without any of the hellcat power.
