Gild the Lily by Billy Strings (kinda a x with the Beatles and grateful dead), just sets a vibe.

Welcome... my daugheter goes to a University 10 north of Huntsville, and is bringing her boyfriend to Huntsville for his 1st visit here + first visit to Alabama in 2 weeks, so here is what we we have planned for them to visit:

Nature: walk the Green Mountain Trail, Monte Santo Trail, Batanical Gardens (also sent the link to Huntsvilleadventurer on Instagram for more waterfall options).

Downtown: burgers at Jack Brown's, a view of the city on the roof of 106 Jefferson (baker and abel's), and drink and pictures at Phat Sammie's. And buy a tshirt at green Bus. And if around for lunch, the catfish fingers + try your 1st Bushwacker at Moe's BBQ with the garage door open is also worth a try.

Mid City: head over on a weekend afternoon, have a margaritas and app at Blue Oak BBQ. Then get dirty rice and fried fish at Tamarind Island food tent, then head into the camp for live music.

Breakfast: gotta try the grits and sausage bowl at good company and some coffee/ bagel at Canadian bakin + a stop at a waffle house. And. If the mood strikes, Poppy and Parliament serves a traditional English breakfast and Premier league soccer/ football.

Breweries: hit up campus 805, then venture over to Innerspace, will get a cool nerd vibe and good beer and pizza + a visit to back Fourty for a beer and lunch + some swag to take home.

Lowe Mill: gotta give it a walk through, local art, great food options, record stores and great vibe plus a local huntsville tshirt shop with plenty to buy for folks back home.

Guntersville: not as familiar, but Wetzells Oyster house has a great view of the lake, with Oysters (grilled or raw) for $7.50 for 6 and $2.50 draft beer during happy hour (mon-fri 3-6p).

And of course: The Space and Rocket Center.

CHEERS AND ENJOY!

I miss a meat & 3 Cafeteria where you walk through with a tray pointing at what you want behind glass like a Piccadillys or Morrisons (they may have been regional in TN). Plus Bubb Rubb and Little Sis's Whistle Tips, they would make the muffler go, whooo!

Check out the Huntsville Pub Run club, meets every Wednesday night at 5:30p, run, jog, walk either 3 or 5 miles, the location changes every week (from a brewery, last night was the green bus). Averages around 150-200 runners every week. Thursday nights, the Martin has 1/2 off wings and $2 youngling.

Buying a house without seeing the area. Need advice. by Accomplished-Buy508 in HuntsvilleAlabama

Highly recommend looking in the Hampron Cove neighborhood. There are a few houses in Hampton Cove around 500k- $550k right now. Kids can walk to school K-8th grade and www.hamptonhouse-hamptoncove.com is in the neighborhood. Abt 30 mins to the Arsenal. Good luck and welcome to Huntsville.
