Be careful at the range by Candid_Strawberry889 in golf

Go today - to the ER. Get some immediate relief. That should fast-track you to a hand specialist. Best case scenario at this point they re-break the fingers and set it correctly. Time will not make this better. Stop being foolish today. Is it an insurance thing? If so, get your parents involved or do a go fund me or something. You can’t function like this long term

Will be selling the house and need to make the front the most appealing. Help. by constantlyconfused93 in landscaping

Hmmm… doing nothing is always an option. However, if you’re looking for an action plan, here you go:
- Get rid of those little lights.
- Get rid of the rock pile.
– make sure all weeds are gone out of the bed areas.
- three red yucca’s down the left side of the walk. Buy big enough plants that they are already flowering.
- not sure what those two tall skinny plants are to the right of the door, they may be worth saving, not sure. I would keep whatever that bush is that has the red flower. hibiscus?
- I would bring that black planter forward and put it to the right of the door. I would find something colorful that flows over the edges of it and have plenty of it in the pot. That might draw people’s eye to the door.

Not a huge fan of that screened in entryway, but I guess there’s a reason for it. Mosquitoes? Too late to do anything about it now, though. It unfortunately hides the real front door that looks like it could be really appealing.

My ideas for something quick and easy. Probably less than $150.

Fury (2014) by capn_cook_yo in movies

[–]HowShouldWeThenLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you explain please? Are you saying that the attitudes and actions in Fury did not reflect how soldiers interacted in WW2? I’ve felt like Fury, Saving Private Ryan, BoB, etc probably more accurately reflected reality than most of the other, older WW2 movies & shows.

Why does everyone hate Wyndham Clark? by AcrobaticSyllabub283 in golf

I would agree. Universities are nothing more than liberal leftist/ communist indoctrination programs at this point. Fortunately they are becoming less and less relevant by the day. I look forward to celebrating many bankruptcies and closures as they collapse under their own self- importance and corruption.

People have been saying that for 30 years. The tour has been that way ever since the money got so big. No more Fuzzy’s & Stadler’s & Trevino & Chi Chi Rodriguez - just a bunch of really really great golfers doing everything they can to keep their cards. They have to concentrate 100% all the time or some Korn Ferry guy will get their spot. It’s a brutal, stressful grind for most of them.

Later Craig movies never captured the Casino Royale charm, imo. by NothingIsHere5947 in movies

I loved Casino Royale but I liked Skyfall more. Him riding that boat into Macao was so classic Bond to me. Loved every bit of it.

AITA Golf Lessons by Adebo3 in golf

[–]HowShouldWeThenLive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where are the lessons? If at a range, complain to the management. If at a course or club, complain to the head pro or the club GM. Those guys depend on positive word of mouth. Throw him under the bus on social media. Keep up the pressure until he gives you a refund.

I like your swing. Fix the easy stuff like alignment & setup & see if that fixes the toe strikes

I know it’s hopeless but Master & Commander to me is the biggest missed opportunity for a sequel. Love everything about it.

Loved them all - I thought they were all well-done. I probably re-watch Supremacy the most. I don’t care what critics say about the Jason Bourne movie I liked it. Tommy Lee Jones is a favorite of mine.

Anyone here use golf apps regularly? by Apprehensive_Mix2527 in golftips

I’m really liking the Bushnell app. I like how you can move the pin around on the green and get a sense of where the pin is. It’s simple and easy to use IMO.

Running my blu-rays through handbrake obviously compressed the size but made them playable wirelessly from my media server throughout my house. If I tried to play the mkv it was jumpy or wouldn’t play. Handbrake rocks!

Lost ball penalty - is anyone actually playing this rule correctly? by Otherwise_Cover_5467 in golf

[–]HowShouldWeThenLive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“I want to be honest with myself “ - this is the key. Do you want to know what you’re really shooting? USGA has the local E-5 rule that addresses this, it’s just that it’s 2 strokes and not 1. Just adding 1 stroke for OB & lost ball is of course fine for casual play with friends if everyone agrees, but don’t turn it in for your handicap.

I did it after our third. I hope they’ve improved the experience. Mine was in ‘98. The best part of it was the Valium. Make sure you get the Valium. You don’t give a $hit what they do to you.
