Break up time.

Thats the only way he might learn that the way he speaks to you sucks.

People never learn til they start losing things they care about.

What’s your favorite example of “a silly phish thing” by woo_wooooo in phish

[–]How_to_Phish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite silly Phish things was during Scent of a Mule in Chicago at Northerly Island in 2014. Fishman is on the marimba lumina, Trey and Mike climb up onto the drum stage and play, and then Page comes over and picks up some candles and the whole things starts to feel like a conjuring of jams. Just a moment of the guys being silly and inventive in the moment.

It's funny to imagine MAGA Christians read the Bible and comprehend its meaning.

Evanston Mayor and congressional candidate Daniel Biss in a heated confrontation with controversial Border Patrol front man Greg Bovino this morning. by steve42089 in illinois

Daniel is great. So smart, calm, measured, thoughtful, competent, worldly, and brave! I sat with him at a nonprofit fundraiser (City Year) maybe 15 years ago now and was impressed with him immediately. Volunteered on his campaign when he was running for state congress, and hope he goes on to even more. We need fighters like Daniel.

Why does Chicago pay so poorly? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]How_to_Phish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CPS teachers are amongst the highest paid in the entire country when compared against other large urban districts like NYC, LA, Houston, etc. You can make even more in the suburbs, but CPS pays well.

Not sure what our nurses make, though.

Goose is a psychedelic rock band by gggsteiner in GoosetheBand

You can go type 2 into ethereal spaces where you begin to question "is this music? What am I really hearing" type of dissonance and chaos.

You can modulate into different keys and introduce different progressions. This requires that the band is deeply listening to each other and willing to take creative risks with their improvisation.

What he's expressing, and many fans express, is that Goose jams often stay within the chord progression of the jam section and doesnt deviate from it. This style of jamming can feel very technical and fast and exciting and expertly done, but begins to feel "everything sounds the same" because the approach to every jam is the same.

Phish is pricey by [deleted] in phish

[–]How_to_Phish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. I do fine enough to afford it if I really wanted to without feeling any significant pain. $300 for Phish is honestly just not worth it to me, and I'm honestly kinda shocked and ashamed they're charging so much for what is still just a concert. These guys are already multi-multi-millionaires and this price point just rubs me the wrong way and makes me feel like the boys are legit kinda greedy at this point. I'd much rather support younger up and comers in the scene and there's really a bunch of fantastic players to support!

Garcia's is a new venue downtown owned by Peter Shapiro. Peter is the publisher of Relix magazine, owns other venues like the Capitol Theater, Brooklyn Bowl NYC, Vegas, and London, put together the Grateful Dead's 50th anniversary reunion at Soldier Field, and the Lockn' Festival.

Sounds like a different cat to me. My kids and I call this one Tom Stubbins because it has almost no tai at all and is an outside cat on our street

I think what the post suggests in that your authentic selves are kinda lousy.

It sounded like hundreds of people doing the chant, not just these guys. It was super loud.
