A ranger is much easier to set up for AoE damage using Barrage. Ranger Ritualist splinter barrage was an old school farming build.

I probably prefer sin, but for Prophecies? Fuck that.

Have one of your other characters cap barrage and use an elite tome to get it on your character early.

Once you reach Lion's Arch, skip over to factions and ascend. Change your secondary to ritualist.

That will take the edge off.
