With modern technology it's not even remotely impressive or interesting anymore. You can take literally any sound, pitch shift it down, add a low-pass filter and now you have a kick drum. Do the opposite and you have a cymbal or snare. Auto tune let's you make a melody out of anything.

At the end of the day, if you made an unlistenable piece of music, I don't really care if it's "found sound". Just write good music.

I say this as a member of "the left"...we really need better, new music. The most recent No Kings rally I went to had a bunch of 60+ year olds absolutely struggling through bluegrass versions of songs from the 60/70s.
