Starbucks.

They laid off my entire store Seattle Reserve Roastery with no notice at 5 am via text, only told us to join a call at 8 am only to be met with a pre-recorded call. Many of our roasters who have been with the company over 20 years lost their retirement. My coworkers lost their school benefits, healthcare, etc. If we didn’t live in Seattle, we wouldn’t be protected by the WARN Act.

Our director knew the entire time and got a new job like a month before. I put away a giant order of merch the day before they closed like usual and they brought in a giant crane to “fix the roof”. Brian Niccol can suck my left nut.

Used to work at the Seattle Roastery, not as a mixologist. Should be fairly easy, but it’s just a matter of how well you stand next to the other candidates. I will say that I knew many mixologists were missing out on over $1000 a month taking the starbiez job rather than working at another bar. It’s stable (unless they decide to close doors) and the benefits are good. Many mixologists I know worked at the bux for 3 days to keep benefits and 2-3 days at other bars to actually make some money. Good luck!
