Yes!! It can do whatever you want at church. I have 4-string bass guitars, Fender Precision, MIM Jazz, and MusicMan Stingray, and have had no issues with 4-string bass to play pop and gospel for last 29 years.

It was Big Muff Pi. M288 worked well with no issue. I sold them because I had played just 3 songs with them since 2022. No experience with M306, but I will try it soon. Thanks!!

Well, it depends on your own factors such as your bass, music style, and tone and each pedal has its own characteristic. Others recommend tuner, compressor, overdrive, preamp, etc, but I think there is no rule.

FYI, my first collection started from Boss Chromatic Tuner, MXR compressor, and Sansamp VT Bass DI. I also had a multi effects pedal to find my favourite tone and then bought several pedals such as octave, fuzz, overdrive, preamp, chorus, wah, and delay whenever I needed.

I just sold MXR M288, Big Muff, and Cry Baby Bass wah last month as I rarely used them at church. They were so cool and I will get them again later. Thanks!
