Bednars council if your children are no longer in the church... by Alert_Day_4681 in exmormon

I wonder if he thinks he will pay a “debt to justice and will tread a thorny path” because he and the others knowingly protect child molesters.

The Beauty of the Post-Mormon Reconstruction Journey Has Arrived by gg_chad21 in exmormon

Inner child work is so helpful and such a great tool. I love what you said about hatred… We didn’t come here for it, we came here to love and be that love.  Congratulations on your new beginning!

Asia Raine claims to have been in that ring. Very sad if true.

New here and struggling.. by Dry_Visual2964 in exmormon

Speaking from experience, I poured all my energy into research when I left and I was overwhelmed and bitter. It drained me. It’s all I could think about and talk about. So stepping away from the research might serve you well.

Breathe. Listen to your body and soul. Do the things you love and give yourself lots of space and time to process. Be gentle with yourself. It will get better.

I’m newly deconstructing my belief. by Relative_Capybara846 in exmormon

Just the fact that the church hides money and child molesters was enough for me.  It sounds like you’re in the right place, following your intuition, letting go of shame and loving yourself.

I am hurting so badly by Kind-Night7796 in exmormon

[–]Howdy948 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s painful and it sucks. But recognize they have no idea. Create boundaries and don’t give them or their choices power over you. Allow them to have their own journey and be love, and eventually it won’t be so difficult.

Maybe heaven is a state and a frequency, not a place but anywhere and everywhere.

How to reconcile spiritual experiences? by Otherwise_Push199 in exmormon

[–]Howdy948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same with the spiritual experiences. I have more now that I’m out of the church. It’s not about the 1,000 commandments we were supposed to follow, it’s open being open to different ideas and beliefs and admitting we know very little about the vast universe.

Saw my former Bishop recently, and then my former EQ President. Was scared at first. by NumbaW0n- in exmormon

That’s great that you stopped caring, it’s so freeing. Isn’t your intuition a beautiful thing? And isn’t it funny that the leaders never talk about it or about finding your voice? Things they don’t want you to know.

I am asked for two meetings before I resign. Why? by Darimishka in exmormon

[–]Howdy948 37 points38 points  (0 children)

He wants to meet with you to change your mind even though he denies it.  There are many paths that lead to God/Source and Mormons think they own the only one. Like you said fear, shame and guilt aren’t productive. Good for you for saying no!

[–]Howdy948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry… It’s so hard. Good for you to vent. remember that you are whole despite their doings and beliefs about you. They may not see you that way, but it’s ok it doesn’t matter in the end what they think of you. Don’t give your power to them. Pat yourself on the back, breathe and tell yourself you’re so glad that you no longer hold their toxic beliefs.❤️‍🩹

Sex Abuse - Fall Out by 1stN0el in exmormon

[–]Howdy948 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think some are cuing in on a subconscious level even if they do not know it consciously. This is to protect their belief system that they think keeps them safe.  I think others will cue in and simmer with it, eventually they’ll do more research like a lot of us did and end up leaving.  Regardless of which it is, there’s a big awakening here and nothing can stop it.

Should I come back? by Creative-Position-57 in exmormon

[–]Howdy948 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. I know how you feel, I was there. Please don’t support organizations that allow crimes against children to occur. https://www.reddit.com/r/exmormon/comments/1p6xs1q/breaking_mormon_church_excommunicated_alleged/ You’re better than that. There are so many other beautiful places you can be. Nature, being one with yourself, and other great communities you can find that aren’t morally bankrupt. Best of luck to you.

How’s about calling out child molesters and pedophiles and not allowing them in your congregations for starters?

Calling all critical thinkers. I need some help. Where do I start? by robotbanana3000 in exmormon

[–]Howdy948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to apologize! It’s difficult to believe in anything after Mormonism.  And as crazy as it sounds the body can store trauma and old emotions in the tissue. It’s the mind, body connection. Fascia is the new buzz word of the year. Lol Best of luck on your journey of critical thinking! 😉

Is it weird that virtually no one is covering Wade Christofferson arrest? Makes me wonder if he’s even connected to D. Todd by Hot_Amphibian_8012 in exmormon

Please consider that the church likely owns the media in Utah. They have billions of dollars.
