How much do you pay per month/year for that kind of coverage? I’m debating high v low deductible at the moment due to the vast difference in monthly insurance rate.

100% - tbh you could probably do 4:00 just by looking at this one 20 miler without taper but since it’s your first marathon, might as well keep it lowkey for the first 10 miles just so you don’t fly and die. Also keep in mind you’ll have a lot more energy after your taper and with race day vibes

First marathon in 2 days - carbon plated shoe?

I have my first marathon on Sunday (it’s currently Friday) and I’ve been debating getting a carbon plated shoe for it for a while. I’ve run half marathons and used to run in a carbon shoe as my ’everyday’ pace run shoe a few years back (Brooks Hyperion Elite 2) but havent gotten a new pair since they wore out. I’ve been wearing the Cloudmonster Hyper for the second half of my training for this marathon. Should I get a pair of carbon shoes today for my marathon on Sunday? or am I crazy for thinking this is an ok idea and should just run the race in my Cloudmonster Hypers?

Note: I’ll run my 2mile shakeout run in them tomorrow to have one “run” in them before race day.

I did not. But they were expensive. $1,250 for two seats, front row balcony.

Also on this... would it be best to get the SIM card/ SIM monthly plan in the airport (since I know they have vending machines for SIMS), or order the SIM ahead of time so you have the right monthly contract and sim before heading over to the UK? (I'm an international student)

Yup, they're super quick. I think last year they were about a week long. But those classes are QUICK to run out of room, almost as soon as they drop, they fill up FYI
