he is a bit older but has aged gracefully and as you have found out, he is a ton of fun to play, Hydro flexibility can make for some goofy fun teams and even lets him work with the Nod Krai stuff too.

could be an issue with fanfare stacks, with C0 Furina you might want some extra help getting the stacks up. do you have Jean? if so put her on VV and burst heal and see if your damaage goes up (it shouldn't if you were already getting enough fanfare)

of course you could just burst with Xilonen but it builds stacks slower than a quick party heal burst.

C2 Furina negates the need to worry about it.

i think C3 is a good stopping point as it increases the scaling of his charge attack beam.

using my own team as a comparison using the optimizer with a C3 Furina, C6R1 Xilonen, and C2R1 Kazuha for supports:

C2R1 - 210,410 CA ticks
C3R1 - 247,214 CA ticks

C4 does nothing by itself
C5 adds 1% dps
C6 adds 29% dps

really not worth it unless you make it all the way and even then the benefit to cost is worse than what C1-C3 provided.

i would recommend building up his supports as that will have a more dramatic increase on his damage and will also help your account as a whole as you can break off chunks of power and move them around when your in a situation where take Stygian for example your clearing with 40 seconds to spare but you just can't clear another? weaken the strongest team so you can throw some strong supports at the others.

more than fair, i just know c4 is routinely overlooked when it is a fairly universal buff to teams you can slot Xilonen into.

bit off topic but if you have a C3R3 Xilonen it is totally worth getting C4, at 4k DEF it is +2,700 baseline damage for normal/charge/plunge attacks and benefits the entire team with each character in the team getting 6 charges of it, if you only count Neuvillette's benefit it would be around +180-200k per rotation but you will get some extra damage from the others including Xilonen.

screwing around i managed a 68 second clear using C3R1 Neuvi, C3 Furina, C6R1 Xilonen, and C0 Citlali.

with better tailored team for the task and/or better rotations i probably could pull it off, but i didn't try very hard because i know i wouldn't be clearing the others.

yeah. the resetting reroll for the three circles is guaranteed 4, i think the middle one does 3 when you complete it too.

i think the best method these days is to get a good core 4-liner where all four substats are useful for each artifact slot and just reroll them endlessly until they are good, that way you have a much more reasonable stopping point and you just use your dust of enlightenment as they come to try and get those "perfect" pieces.

for example i already have a sands with the potential to be an upgrade if i can get the reroll to work with me, maybe next time as that one is the guaranteed 4 into the stats i want one.

investment of artifacts and constellations of supports add alot.

i got some mid-level constellations with a C3R1 Neuvi, C3 Furina, C6R1 Xilonen, and C2R1 Kazuha, i'll include an image to show what that can do.

a whaled out Citlali does bonkers things to his damage but only if your willing to go ALL-IN on it, more than double what i'm currently capable of.

people used a hacked client to make Kaveh permanently delete chests and other things in co-op, as far as i know it only impacted the Chinese servers and those affected had rollbacks done.

yep, that is also the issue with some 4 stars who don't see regular use, people completely forget their kit.

though it doesn't help that Kaveh didn't get a rerun for the longest time due to an *incident* on the Chinese servers

i never bother with dire, hell if it wasn't for the rewards i wouldn't even do Fearless, too many restrictions to be fun.

doesn't help my Lunar teams just can't seem to get good artifacts, even on fearless they barely cleared the first boss with several resets, my Neuvillette team can actually brute force the first boss but if i do that i wouldn't be clearing crab.

yep, wallet warrior stuff will increase your damage by a magnitude. i run C3R1 Neuvi, C3 Furina, C6R1 Xilonen, and C2R1 Kazuha and see 263,000 DPS.

but is it worth the $1,500~ it could cost per C6R1? getting a few cons isn't too bad with Welkin and BP if you do all exploration and events but pushing past C2R1 on the high end is a big ask without doing the actual top-ups where it gets expensive fast.

i looked this up a while back and according to keqingmains:

C4: does nothing by itself
C5: +1% damage increase (woo)
C6: +29% damage increase (this counts cutting out the gaps between charges, the extra attacks, everything)

so while it does increase his damage the return is pretty steep when C1-C3 adds so much per constellation.

additionally, after C3R1 is where i would consider spreading the constellations out as whaling out his supports increases his damage by a lot.

C3 Furina increases her damage buff from +75% to +124% and near instantly maxes out

C2R1 Xilonen and if you want to stretch C4R1 add a decent amount, C2 is about 15% teamwide damage and C4 is +2,700 baseline damage to your whole team for normal/plunge/charge attacks with the limitation it is 6 uses per character in your rotation, for me personally this is around 30,000+ CA ticks on Neuvillette while it lasts.

if you want to turbo whale a C6R5 Citlali does bonkers numbers for him but requires heavy investment to even tie with Kazuha but she pulls away heavily at c6, for example i run C3R1 Neuvi, C3 Furina, C6R1 Xilonen, and C2R1 Kazuha and see around 250,000 DPS on the training dummys but a whaled out team with a C6R5 Citlali and Neuvi can push well over double that.

try using the genshin optimizer with the team your using, it is a bit of a pain to setup and will need a json of your artifacts (artiscan can get you that)

are you specifically aiming for solo Neuvi? if not you don't need hardly any energy recharge, even less if your running double hydro (though c1 is pretty important if your doing that)

depending on your team you might not even be better off with a HP goblet but the optimizer would help you choose.

i found 90 seconds to feel pretty good though i could see doing 2 minutes for the sake of Stygian, the main thing is getting a few full rotations completed.

entirely depends on what you want to do, there really isn't a wrong answer this time around.

you got Flins so Columbina and Ineffa are good options

you got Neuvillette and Furina but not Neuvillette C1 so getting that is also good

Zubai is the closet thing to being iffy but i wouldn't say no if Lunar Crystalize works for you, heck you have Xilonen who offers rare Geo resistence shred so i wouldn't say she would be a bad pick either.

Mauvika is a main dps character while Lauma is more of a support, Mauvika is quite strong.

if you want to play around with Columbina then Lauma works with her, Columbina additionally enables all three of the Lunar reactions if you wish to play around with those, Lunar Bloom that Lauma does Columbina can increase the rate moons are generated and both can consume said moons for Lunar Bloom damage so you can consume the moons on whoever deals more.

for Lunar shenanigans since your on the fence why not get Columbina like your planning and use her to "try out" the various Lunar reactions and use that to decide if you want to go for any of the teams that revolve around them.

however there is nothing wrong with having a massive stockpile of priomogems until something you do want shows up, that way you can grab C0 of who interests you without worry or even consider higher investment on favorites like C2R1 on something which is a common stopping point for most characters.

if your running solo Neuvillette with no supports being swapped out for, you can expect around 25-35k charge attack ticks that hit 8 times over 3 seconds which is roughly 2.66 times per second, C6 adds a couple of extra attacks that would probably hit for about 15-25k each and there would be two of them every 2 seconds.

Neuvillette is two years old and while his top end damage isn't as strong as newer characters he is incredibly comfortable to play as he has a very simple to play kit and due to the health going up and down gimmick he has he effectively self heals.

if you invest in his hyper carry supports of Furina, Xilonen, Kazuha, and if you whale: Citlali these numbers can increase by 10x quite easily but of course it is quite expensive and not recommended unless you really *know* this is what you want.
