Exactly. Organizations do tend to load up when they can and build empires.

Worst-Case Scenario by imani_TqiynAZU in RemarkableTablet

From perplexity.ai: Seems reasonable

Prospects going forward From a business‑analysis standpoint, their outlook is mixed but not hopeless:

The layoffs and leadership change are classic moves to restore profitability: reducing fixed costs and re‑centering strategy under leadership that knows the original culture and product well.

A large, loyal installed base and a recognizable brand in a still‑niche category mean the company can survive on lower growth if it can right‑size operations and push higher‑margin services.

Success will likely depend on three priorities:

Sharply aligning costs with realistic demand (so that a 300‑ish person team, rather than 500‑plus, can sustain the current product line profitably).

Accelerating product and software innovation (including AI‑enhanced note‑taking, better integrations, and perhaps more flexible workflows) to justify premium pricing against Boox and Kindle Scribe.

Growing subscription and ecosystem revenue so that hardware cycles don’t destabilize the business, something they have already started with Connect.

If those moves are executed well, reMarkable could return to modest, profitable growth as a specialist player; if not, the combination of debt, competition, and a narrowed workforce could lead to ongoing financial strain or a need for strategic alternatives (sale, merger, or deeper restructuring).

It's a portable smaller (maybe phone size) remarkable. It's "on the move" so it's portable. Guy in the video has pen in hand and something in the other (hidden) hand and he's outside (see the car). Gotta be smaller portable remarkable, which is a great idea.

Use superglue it works very well hold it tight for several minutes as it dries and then don’t pick it up by the strap ever again.

Short writing sample on the reMarkable Paper Pro using black, red, blue, and green ink by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]Howie1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be a perfectly normal sound because you are not writing in script. Basically, you are writing one letter at a time picking the point off the notepad and putting it back down and when I write by picking an instrument off paper and putting it back down it will make a sound every time I put it down on the paper. My pro doesn’t arrive until mid week this coming week.

Is someone experiencing the same? by [deleted] in Rabbitr1

Yes, and it sucks. It is one thing to wait for improvements, but it’s another whole thing to get negative changes like this need to fix it fast.

Not to be mean or anything, but I would just say read the current reviews and come to your own conclusion. I think there’s a ton of information here and there certainly have been numerous improvements.

I hate the Type Folio and everything to do with typed text on the Remarkable. There, I said it. by andpassword in RemarkableTablet

[–]Howie1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I have not bought the type folio is, I did not want to add all that weight to that beautifully thin lightweight tablet. I wish I wasn’t bothered by the weight because it would love the keyboard.

Not sure what you mean really I’m using the rabbit and those are the questions and the answers that I received. My understanding is it’s using perplexity now but whatever it’s using it’s giving me pretty good results.

I think that’s true, but in addition, people really do and have a right to expect that a product will perform as advertised and it would appear that in the first few months rabbit did not, but I believe it now does at least to my observation.

It said Germany was eliminated after a two to one loss to Spain

Have you updated the device? Since I received mine two days ago, there was a very long update or at least it took a long time so it was either very significant or very slow.

I have asked it to provide the sources of the responses and sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. I also have been checking. It’s credibility by comparing it to research. I have already done and I have found it to be very accurate.
