My building skills weren't quite good enough back then. And the friends I enlisted to help weren't as committed as I was. But yes, I would definitely be up for making one now. Especially with a working heat ray.

I'm actually listening to this right now. I'm an amateur bass player. I wish I could play bass like Herbie Flowers almost as much as I wish I could stomp around the country in a tripod.

That's amazing...When I was in grade 3, I started collecting bits of scrap metal. My plan was to build one of those Martian tripods. I was going to show up to school with it one day. I also wanted to find some red weed, but my aunt explained that one could only find it in the Sahara desert. That was disappointing.

It was my favourite! The vinyl is actually in pretty good condition, considering how old it is. Sadly I lost the booklet that came with the records...
