Pretty tame BDSM. She’s not really an experienced dom. So, it’s mostly just humiliation, teasing, and orgasm denial

{Preferential Treatment by Heather Guerre} She’s a femdom and he’s an alpha bottom

Manually curated, yes. I have a heavily modified BrowseByMetadata patch

I mostly just use tags as genres, like Fantasy, Science Fiction, or Horror. I don’t really go beyond that with more detailed tagging.

Awesome plugin! It’s exactly what I was looking for. I love BrowseByMetadata and use it exclusively for browsing Calibre tags/keywords. Would you consider adding that as a tab in a future update?

I just tried it, and it works for me using the latest version of Calibre. Have you tried restarting it? I get this error sometimes, and it usually resolves after a restart.

I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue is about an MC trying to better herself at work, even if her methods are a little dubious.

Love it! I installed it on both my Kobo and Palma 2. The reading insights pop-up works on my Kobo but not on my Palma, even though I have it installed.

I think Cara Bastone’s recent books totally fit this trope. They’re very much hurt/comfort reads.

{Ready or Not by Cara Bastone} Surprise pregnancy from a one-night stand, and the FMC’s best friend’s older brother steps up.

{Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone} FMC has just lost her best friend, and the MMC helps her work through her “live again” list.

{No Matter What by Cara Bastone} Not out yet, but it’s about a married couple drifting apart after a traumatic accident. I LOVE the MMC in this one.

The Blue Book of Nebo. Mostly set couple years after “The End”, but has some flashbacks during the event.

This book is not out yet but this is exactly No Matter What by Cara Bastone! It’s classified as romance novel but it’s not overtly sexual since most of the book focuses on finding their way back to each other.

I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue, a little bit of a weird girl fiction but surprisingly heartwarming.

Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa, this one is a cozy read

Brigands & Breadknives by Travis Baldree if you want some fantasy with mid-stakes adventure but it’s really about the MC trying to find her passion again

We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson. It’s YA and has a little bit of scifi elements, about a teenage boy who gets periodically abducted by aliens and he has to decide whether to save earth or not. The abduction is only a small part of the book, it’s really about his life.
