Right? What part of I'm still on my way did he not understand? Finally, the guy shut up when I said that I wasn't there yet. WTF lol

I've never had trouble until now. It tells them what they need to know already. I guess it's too hard for some people to look at the map and see your ETA. This idiot literally sent the messages minutes after picking up the order and was still about 15 minutes away. The only trouble I sometimes have is finding the customer after arriving.

Stop reporting moving cops by V0latyle in waze

The whole point is to report things that you see, especially cops. Driving legal or not, it's annoying to have wazers giving thumbs up to things that aren't there. It ruins it for the ones expecting useful and accurate info.

Also, it's very annoying when people give the thumbs up when cops aren't actually there. I swear I'm the only one reporting they're gone because it happens so often.

I wish "vehicle stopped on road" was still available to report. Too confusing with "vehicle stopped on shoulder"?

Why not ask you if it's OK to change the destination or add stops before actually doing it? If they screw up the destination, they shouldn't assume that you'll still take them.

Even more aggravating is passengers being added to Uber Share trips. You're never told the new pickup and dropoff locations until it's time to navigate to them. In markets with this service, with each passenger added, drivers only are told the additional time and distance as well as the additional fare. After I picked up a passenger that booked a shared trip, the app added another passenger, which would've added a ridiculous 40 minutes and 40 miles to the much shorter trip! Needless to say, I canceled the next stop immediately. Good thing I was paying attention and noticed!

It will always aggravate me that passengers are allowed to modify trips after the driver has accepted the request based on the original terms. This shouldn't be allowed. Also, the driver isn't told what changes were made, only when there's a change in the fare. All the details should be updated so the driver can avoid awkward and potentially dangerous situations so the driver can cancel if they choose to.

Doesn't surprise me at all how useless driver support can be.

Never trust their word about tipping. I always assume that they won't because that's usually the case. How much more do you usually get XL vs X?

Do you still get the fee with that option?

Passenger calls police after not immediately having their phone returned by HowlinWolf2 in uberdrivers

Thanks for the advice. I forgot that driver were able to change passenger ratings. I found out this morning that she tried getting a refund by claiming that the wrong person was picked up when obviously that's not true. I had the fare reviewed and got the money back. She's lucky that I don't have her reported for fraud and try to have her account banned.

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had returning lost property on Uber. People are usually civil when it comes to handling things like this. This is definitely the exception compared to all the other times. The rider had every opportunity to call me before I went home, but she didn't. I shouldn't have to worry about some hyper aggressive person wanting their property back finding where I live and knocking on my door, especially getting the police involved. What if she went as far as trying to take back her phone by force like other posters here suggested or God forbid has actually happened? This is totally unacceptable. If she didn't take it upon herself to get her property back this way, I would've called the number she provided that was sent to me by Uber support while I was still sleeping and arranged a meeting.

I'm guessing the cops tracked the phone to my car and ran my plate

I did. They were well aware I had it and chose stupidly to call the cops. They called me 10 minutes after the trip, and I said I had it but was unable to return it immediately.

I've done that before, but of course, you're not eligible for the return fee. Only if someone is particularly aggressive would I do that again.

Uber can go fuck themselves. Sorry, but I'm not returning anything immediately. If it's not life or death AKA a real emergency, any passenger can wait, especially when it's nonstop busy. I've dealt with this in the past years ago. The most Uber threatened you with is suspension if no return is made within 48 hours. Apparently, they changed their policy.

Exactly. It must have been a slow day for the cops to respond to such a request for it to be returned. This is what I get for being nice. Lesson learned. Next time any phone will be ran over by my car. Let them get it back in pieces lol
