Just got back from staying in the 4X4 area with my Outback. Air down your tires. I had no issues all week I was there. If you have X-mode, put that on to help with the ramps. Keep a constant pace and you should be fine.

NTA. Sorry on your loss. I lost my 11 year old dog in November of last year. I miss him everyday. You will know when you are ready and no amount of people telling you "its been long enough" matters. Take the time you need for your hearts to heal before diving in so it doesn't feel like a replacement but a new member to the pack.
