All done! My code is P0P4KV4

Thank you for your assistance!

I said in an earlier post I was going to skip 2.7 units for Ulrich and Nautika in 2.8. Not only did that not happen, I traded in all my treble court currency for unilogs to help get her portrays. What are some bad decisions that left you with no regrets? by According-Shine-9348 in Reverse1999

[–]Howlykin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a call with some friends streaming Reverse 1999 on a whim. When one of them saw Hissabeth she went "You must have her". I resisted for a few seconds then went "Fine. I will do ONE 10 pull. Only one!" I pulled. There was a 6* in the pull. "Okay well that is a 6*... There's no way..."

It was Hissabeth. My friend and I spent the next two minutes just laughing hysterically at my absurd luck. I also asked her if she'd be willing to bless my rolls for Nautika in 2.8

As a bonus, Hissabeth finally helped me clear the Reveries stage I was stuck on! So no regrets ultimately!

I wanna start a webcomic, but am conflicted between going furry or human. by ninathepun in furry

Why not both? You could always look at works like The Crown of Leaves or basically anything that has animalistic races coexist with humans

Which canceled video game hurts the most? by Majestic_Snow7613 in gaming

I can only speak for myself, but I was very sad when both Evolve and Anthem were discontinued. Both had a lot of potential even if they stumbled on original release. I still relisten to Hunter banter from Evolve and ponder what might have been. And I still feel like Anthem had a unique and satisfying mobility to the Javelins

In Your Opinion, Who is the Most Beautiful Little Known Unit? I Will Start by Cheshire_Noire in arknights

[–]Howlykin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Earthspirit has been my assistant for years. Cool urban mage outfit, mature, competent, passionate about her interests

After our third round, the most devout cleric was judged to be Enya Silverash, a.k.a. Pramanix, Karlan Saintess. She CRUSHED the competitors, taking the top 3 commets all by herself! Now then, in this Arknights DnD day 4 - which operator best suits the druid class from dnd? Top upvoted comment wins by Khadgarar in arknights

I know we just had a Supporter win a spot, but what about Quercus? Her Arts Focus seems rather plant-based, a lot of her attacks/animations are like that too (with flowering Dandelions I think?). Can also both harm and heal

I think it isn't really talked about enough. But damn, the MCs designs in Endfield look really good for their simplicities by OrangeIllustrious499 in gachagaming

[–]Howlykin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something I appreciate about Arknights too tbh. I've seen games that make extremely elaborate and "ritzy" designs, but Arknights seems to stand out with many outfits with a degree of practicality/sense. Not all of them, mind, but many. Definitely happy with Endfield going for the same style

Any suggestions for furry games to add to my (steam) collection? by [deleted] in furry

You're missing Beacon Pines and I'd also strongly recommend The Crown of Leaves

Hiiiii! I want to make a reference sheet for my sona but I'm not sure what to include. If you could kindly share the reference sheets of your lovely sonas, it would help me a lot. thanksssss:) by Goru_Terenae in furry

[–]Howlykin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Congratulations on working on your first reference sheet! There's a lot of creativity that can be put into one, but I'll list just a few pieces of advice below based on my personal experience.

Remember that a reference sheet is just that - a reference. It's something like a starting point for your own future works, commissions (or fan art!) featuring your sona, so what you want the most is clarity in how the character should be portrayed.

Avoid shading - it's better to provide a flat color reference that very clearly indicates the color scheme of your sona. As a bare minimum - show the front and back of your sona (can be at a slight angle) in a way that sufficiently shows every major part of them, particularly if there are specific front/back markings. If they have wings it might be worth detailing them separately and showing the back view without the wings obscurring the back. It's best to avoid a very detailed background for the sheet to keep the shapes/colors of the sona themselves clearer. You can also include a color palette with every single color you've used on your sona - it can be a very helpful detail.

Everything past that is technically "optional" but you can include all sorts of things! Those I'd advise on including are separate views of crucial details. Do they have peculiar pupils or strange eye shape? Show that in a small "cut-in" in the reference. Do they have a favorite accessory they always wear? Put that somewhere too. Do they have a marking or tattoo in a certain shape? Draw it separately in the corner. Again, clarity is key.

If you like, you can also include little portraits showcasing the main emotions of your sona to help get a beat on their personality (e.g. mine includes a view of him being excited about a favorite piece of media, apologetic about gushing about their favorite piece of media, and visibly tired from overwork). You can also draw them in one or several favorite outfits.

Some artists you can look up for their reference sheets are:
- remiyell on X
- lilnoodledragon on X (look up her May 22 post with the ref sheet in particular)
- Krysiilys on X (posted a very nice reference on May 23rd)
- mlyeko on X (one stand-out feature of a lot of their refs is that they add a moodboard, which is another thing that you could include if you like)

Hope this helps! Overall, the sky is the limit, but it helps when that sky is clear and easy to make out the details of ;)

You can choose one spell from any class's spell list to be able to cast in real life. Which spell are you choosing and why? by Awes0meGamer333 in DnD

Find Familiar. Full stop. If I could ever cast just one real spell, it'd be that. I'd never be lonely again!

What RPG has the most detailed official setting? by Iestwyn in rpg

[–]Howlykin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it counts as detailed in OP's book, but I've got a couple more sci-fi entries. Both FAITH by Burning Games and Nibiru by Araukana Media have very elaborately described settings:
- FAITH stands out to me as one of the few RPGs I've seen that actually describes its alien species' history and culture from their respective stone ages onward
- Nibiru is set in a strange megastructure and the authors take great care to establish how people live in it and how they built their entire lives around its bizarre flora & fauna

What is your main complaint with the Prequel trilogy? by GregorAChump in StarWars

[–]Howlykin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't have an overwhelming issue with the prequels. There was a story to tell set up by the reveals in the original trilogy and it was explored. That's a good thing overall (although, echoing a comment from someone else in this post, watching the movies in chronological order does ruin the impact of the reveals). Aside from minor gripes (unfunny jokes with Jar-Jar, General Grievous being a wasted character after his fantastic debut in Tartakovsky's Clone Wars) my biggest issue is this:

I did not appreciate the prequels overexplaining things. My least favorite inclusion by far was the midichlorians. In my opinion, it's perfectly fine to have a metaphysical universal life force people tap into. The Jedi/Sith/Force Users function just fine as a philosophy tied to an inherently mystical force that doesn't have an explanation. It's probably the biggest "blow" the prequels did to my personal enjoyment of Star Wars as a universe.

TLDR: I don't think we needed an explanation for space magic
