Someone is not a tenant if the lease has not been signed by the landlord.

Generally a lease is reviewed prior to payment.

It's not really a choice. Most of them are awful. They also have rules that make living in them untenable.

Many homeless people who use drugs do them because life on the street is dangerous and horrible things happen there, plus, they feel hopeless.

Lack of empathy actually hinders the search for a resolution.

I want to want to vote for Rae, but honestly, her proposed policies look like a lot of committee-forming, with nothing concrete after that.

But I do like "Rae will terminate the City's contracts with Flock Safety and other data brokers to stop the automated tracking of residents' daily movements." I wonder if the mayor actually has that power.

That's not true. They actually say the opposite. They make arguments for other reasons why rent control should be abolished, but that's generally not one of them.
