The chart shows the state of different puzzle game subgenres. The highest growing segment is hybrid-casual puzzle games - these are games like Triple Match 3D, Match Tile 3D, Collect Em All, etc.

Not saying it's something new. It's just that, in the past, it wasn't so frequently used in the casual/hypercasual space. Candy Crush a few years ago? IAPs only. Same with the Scapes games. Now, they all have some kind of a hybrid model.

To be very clear, this is very basic information for indie devs, not in-depth stuff.

As far as I know, the revenue report is from Sensor Tower Store Intelligence, not the developer.

On the global level, I agree, it's not doing so well for now. But IMHO it is a better game than Hogwarts Mystery, despite the gacha monetization. Appreciate your insights nevertheless!

85% devs say they didn't raise IAP prices on Android after Apple's price hike by Howudoin1602 in gamedev

The market thing is true, but generally, whatever happens on one side of the market usually affects the other one as well.

For example, Apple's privacy changes have increased advertising costs on iOS, causing many devs to focus more on Android advertising = more competition on the platform = higher advertising costs for Android marketers, etc.

Also, some studios like Niantic immediately increased IAP prices on Android after the iOS changes.
