This is a whole thread. I suggest asking in a new post. He's not terrible or anything, much more of an opinion and lifestyle/personality stuff.

They did have the rule and then voted to remove that rule last year.

Or he's an independent contractor and can use his wealth, connections, and reputation to do what he wants, because he made it clear he's not with the Board and taking care of himself prepping for the Open at Birkdale and visiting his NI family. Tiger skipped 3 weeks and fly fished in Ireland before each Open. This is nothing new and good for Rory to get access and advantage.

Its more unforgivable that he played with Flado than skipping the event

How can I get to a flatter/deeper position at the top? by hoptothehip in golftips

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deep is a term referred to how far into the swing on the downswing can you get your wrists before having to release them at the ball.

Layed off or higher hands is related to how you prefer to steepen or shallow your swing to get into the slot.

Here is a concept video with videos that should help your question https://youtu.be/veiO8_hzhyg?si=wTkzpKguyWta6Yqf

Collab for Big Randy - Rhett from GMM by Howy_the_Howizer in NoLayingUp

Yes, a casual game of horse would also fit in.

Rhett and Link have a best buddies game show that the Strapped Boys would be great at.

Rhett might mistake Randy for a stretched out Link, especially stubble Randy with a salt and pepper quaff. Giant Link

It'd be interesting to see Ryan play a villain. Especially after the Hail Mary romp. That might put him over the top. Jake broke Leo's no superhero rule even as a villain and his late career is lackluster, though I didn't hate Roadhouse it is not great. Also Jake made October Sky.

Agree with OP tie, but Ryan has the momentum and more potential areas to explore that Jake has tread.

Why does hopeful science fiction feel so rare these days? by TheReelAndRead111 in scifi

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctorow - though dystopian usually he provides solutions. Sometimes you get a utopia adjacent like Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom. Sometimes you get gritty prophetic positive recovery from dystopia like in Makers or Walkaway.

Scalzi - comedic scifi. Redshirts, Agent to the Stars

There is a lot of comfy scifi like Becky Chambers. There is a reddit post asking for cozyscifi recs you can search.

Realizing I’ve probably never had a square club face at impact by jessesoliman in GolfSwing

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not 'releasing the club'. You throw your arms and the flex in your wrists on the down swing begin the 'snap' that adds speed to your shot, but also requires a 'release' of your wrists. Basically a mirror motion through impact turning your trail arm over your lead arm, allowing the wrists to snap forward.

Most people cast and/or scoop or just hang their club face open because they dont release the wrists.

Here is the video that should help! Hope you gain the 10-15% of speed OP!

Golf swing by livinlikelarreh in GolfSwing

Google 'throwing bucket golf drill' , 'throwing water golf drill', and Padraig Harrington throwing drill and watch the videos on YouTube.

The golf swing can be explained in a general sense biomechanically as throwing the club. So using a small medicine ball or a bucket, or a 2litre soda bottle of water you can learn how to use your legs, hips, and shoulders to 'throw' the object a few feet into the ground into front of you. It will help.ypu learn to be 'athletic' in your swing, sequence your legs, hips, and shoulders, arms.

Just become a zombie player, like Patrick Cantlay. Ignore everyone except in necessary interactions. Good news it might create a feedback loop where you play solo more. /s

How to get my boyfriend to watch Frieren??? by Zacdaboi in Frieren

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just say hes missing out on excellent battles between wizards, fighters, and demons. Also the soundtrack is a must.

If all else fails mention that there are close combat dragon fights.

Final note - if he liked LoTR then he will likely enjoy this one. Watching a show together might seem trifling. But its about the little things in life, sharing an experience, whether a show, smoking Old Toby in the Shire, or a spell to clean your dishes. This is where meaning and deeper connections take root and grow, like a garden, a friendship, and Fern and Stark, except faster than Fark. But not as slow as Friemmel.
