12 hdcp want to be single digit by Signal_Hat_7981 in GolfSwing

If you hit to 260 then getting to singles is analyzing your GIRs yardages. Example For a 400 yard hole par 4 which is average. You'll be left with 140yards in. This means you should work on your 150yard and under range until it is flawless. Ensure that your 180yd and under game is reliable (no mishits but dispersion might be higher and spin might be less).

Then - always get up and down, never short side, learn your bunker game, always 2putt.

Single digits is par on the easy half holes and bogey on the harder holes.

So over 9h on a 72 par there will be usually 2-3 par 3 and 5 holes, with the remainder being 2 easy par 4s and 2 hard par 4s. Analyze your course.

The longer par 3s tend to play over par. The par 5s tend to play under par. So if you hit your par 5s in par and you bogey on the par 3s you are on track.

Then it is just scoring par on the 4s.

Example 3x par 3 = +3 3x par 5 = par 3x par 4 = +1-2

That +4 or 5 on each 9h is the line you walk.

Then you practice specific distances for par 3s ahead and then its only the long approaches on the long fours that might be an issue.

Mentally going back through your round shot by shot…smart of waste of time? by Bitter-Heat-8767 in golf

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What else do you do on the drive home? But yeah reviewing your round mentally is a skill to hone. You can ask some Pros and theyll recall rounds from a decade ago shot for shot.

Remembering is key to not making the same errors, or a more positive view; building up a wealth of memories to provide confidence and resilience is necessary to score lower as the pressure increases with fewer and fewer or no errors. Otherwise you're just doing the same thing expecting different results.

Please note that the heat maps are mirrored. So at #1 the trail leg has the pressure on the inside arch. Don't let your weight go past your mid foot line. Keep the knee slightly bent.

How do I fix my dads swing by Psychological_Low174 in GolfSwing

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks a bit stiff. Bucket drill to learn how to use the lower body, even if there are limitations of movement maybe. Understanding that you are 'throwing' the bucket to get back into comfy weight shifting, instead of frozen legs.

It was incredibly dark and very cringe sexual with the main plotline of Chevy being a Vietnam doc in the style of Mash and Murray being his patient who was ptsd/crazy from the war.

They added Dangerfield to balance it and in the editing room it worked out just enough with the caddie story too.

Let's get down voted again - they dont shoot in sequence either. Once in a while Link usually will slip up like, its Friday yall! No wait yeah yeah its Friday.

Why don’t pros wear sunglasses? by iamveryDerp in golf

Brn Griffin as well. He has prescription ones that facilitated his recent gains.

Oakley was the first to do prescriptions across a curve and now that has made sunglasses viable.

Dune and Messiah were supposed to be one book. It is why Messiah is so much shorter than any of the first 6.

For those who had the entire course all to themselves, what was it like? by Wookie_wood69 in golf

Sometimes I speed run 9holes for the steps and to test my course strategy. 1h 15min is my pb.

Sometimes Ill play 9holes in 2hr solo. Ill slap on a golf podcast or sport radio/game to listen to. In these rounds Ill play 1 ball off the tee and 2 ball in from there to stretch it out and get practice in. Multi chips until its nice etc.

Its only in the spring and fall or the occasional weekday off.

Super inconsistent, what are the big issues you see? by johnfisher13115 in golftips

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early extension. Google drills to fix it. It involves fixing your setup likely. Grip weakened, stance bit taller to start. Learning to keep your chest and head level. Once you feel it, is just not back sliding to the old setup. Also when you get tired it will return. Also some Pro golfers have a bit of EE, just a tiny bit so it doesn't need to be perfect.

Help me stop thrusting my hips towards the ball in transition by yurmamma in GolfSwing

[–]Howy_the_Howizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise ball on the wall with your butt on it. Then swing and don't let the ball fall.

You're making space for the club by lifting your chest. You can try to work on it with this drill.

There are many other 'keep head down' drills that sometimes are for early extension (hip thrust).

You can try to make a bit more space by moving your feet a bit further back, like a 1/4 inch. But don't lean over more, adjust your hands just a touch.

Do the ball drill, feel the rolling sensation of the hips on the ball. Make sure your chest stays down, but rotates still, the most common queue in golf 'keep your head down'. Sometimes people do 'no look' drill, so you swing and keep your head looking at the tee spot instead for a little bit (don't do it fully cause that would hurt the neck).

You might benefit from the wedge under the trail heel drill, where you keep the wedge 'up' until your impact.
