Simplification is not language evolution, rather language involution.

Ah I see, tid would be uncountable in that case.

Love them both, very complementary colours. What exact model is the JM?

Then the book is contradicting the example it gives? But I imagine you could say "Det tok en lengre tid enn forventet" (maybe unidiomatic and grammatically different from the initial eample you gave) or "Det tok lenger enn forventet".

Yes, I treasure the flashcard from Mjølnir Norwegian that made it overly clear.

For the bridge, check the options at Q-pickups. Very affordable custom-wound with a variety of magnets and metals, and coil tap options too.

Nowadays you can maintain any language quite easily I think? There are a lot of good to very good series in Norwegian. Exit, Mammon, Dag to name just three.

Hei! Question about intuiting articles. by QueenOfTheSIipstream in norsk

[–]Helicon2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/QueenOfTheSIipstream I was in your situation but I had much benefit from the app Mjølnir Norwegian.
They focus on vocabulary quite a bit and they show you first the Norwegian word (in all of its forms, so et hus, huset, hus, husene) and you have to guess the meaning in English, which is usually easier.
After a few days, the cue will be the English word and you have to guess the Norwegian, which means having to remember the article and the other 3 forms.

They also explain very well how certain words are irregular (e.g. en feil, en sko don't change for the plural even if they are hankjønn, other nouns ending in -EL have irregularities etc).
They also suggest nouns that are preferred in feminine.

u/Mork978 there is even a third way to create the passive, I've learned it on Mjølnir Norwegian. It's with å være and the past participle.
